An off the rack wool cassock can run from $200 or so for a poly/rayon from Almy to $650 for a wool one from Wippell.

In warm climates, I think some sort of washable/wrinkle free/linen would be great - but, I am not certain it exists.

If this sort of fabric does exist, the cassock will probably have to be custom made. But, it would still be in the same sort of price range.

I bought the cheapest cassock they had at the local Catholic supply store - I think it was about $65 - $70. I spent a little more on a new alb recently, but I try to not spend a lot of money on liturgical stuff. If the church is buying it for me, then I feel guilty spending other people's money, and when I buy things for myself, I have a hard time justifying putting a big dent in my budget for those types of things.
