Can the Holy Spirit Smell Like Flowers?

Ok so me my husband and daughter were all asleep the other nite i woke up around 12 or 1 am to the smell of flowers a real floral scent sorta like guardina perfum or something similar so my question is has anybody ever experienced this what is the reason for the smell

Smelling in the Spirit is a form of discernment, like hearing things in the Spirit. I personally have never had the Lord use my sense of smell but I know others whom He does this with.
Firstly, gardenias are evergreens which speak of something eternal. They take some time to cultivate. Flowers are symbolic for the fragrance of God over your life.. Gardenias are mostly all white - symbolic of Holiness and Purity before the Lord. And finally, gardenias are incredibly fragrant - signifying a great deal of the fragrance of God is being implemented into your life
In essence I believe the Lord is telling you He is pruning and growing you into all these things so that the 'fragrance of your life' will be purely Jesus -- the fragrance of God.

I've experienced this once where I could smell this amazing fragrance of flowers. I believe that it was encouragement and comfort during a time of deep discouragement and disappointment in my life. I felt it was encouragement to me that The Lord had heard my prayers.

My wife has had the same experience. She was at the altar with someone who was dying of brain cancer. She said all of the sudden this amazing smell of flowers enveloped them. The lady who was dying said to my wife "Do you smell that?" My wife said "Yes, what is it?".

The lady said, "It's the presence of God." I guess the lady was familiar with this. I have also heard other people talk about a flowery aroma in the presence of God. I have not experienced it myself, but would certainly love to.

Yes i have been writing down every dream and vision and bible verse The Lord gives me i keep it in my bible.. I haven't smelled the flowers again i would like to so i can enjoy it this time instead of trying to figure out where it came from... I have smelled fire and smoke plenty of times

I have a friend who has no sense of smell whatsoever. But there are times when the Lord allows him to smell flowers around a Godly person. And then there are times the Lord allows him to smell sulphur around someone who is operating from the demonic = it is the gift of discernment so he will know how to handle and pray for that individual.
So cool that the only time he can smell anything is when this gift is in operation

i smell roses ... pink was the first ...

i was moving ... it was the last load ... coming down off the mountain ... and moving to a new mountain ... late october in montana ... cold ... nothing much was still green ... definitely no roses blooming ... i've driven this road so many times in my life! ... came right down and two blocks into it i just turned down a dead end stree without even thinking ... at the time i had no idea why i just did that ... i totally knew it was a dead end ... so i turned around at the end ... when i straightened out to go the smell of pink roses just filled the car ... i knew they were pink ... thought about it all the way home ... they smelled so good and i felt such love attached ... i always bought my step mom who loved me pink roses ... i thought of her ... went home and the cable guy was there to hook up the cable ... the first thing i saw when i turned it on ... was John Edwards for the first time (not the politician) he was saying pink roses mean love ... totally tripped me out ... but i knew it was true ... can't say they were from my mom ... but i thought of her ...

then i smelled yellow roses not so long ago ... 36 grandchildren ... including myself will say grandma if you say yellow roses ... who know ... and just the other day for the first time red roses ... they felt masculine and reverant and full of love and protection ... i thought the Lord? my dad? ... i don't know what they mean ... but i know what they bring ... much love ...

Our physical sense of smell, corresponds to our Spiritual sense of Hope. You bear this out here, and our Lord comforts us by His Spirit, refreshing our Hope in Him. We are to look forward to His righteousness, and His purity!


And certainly an experience like this has made these things more real to you?

Moses' Tabernacle had an incense used at the altar of incense, composed of 5 ingredients. These each correspond to a letter of Jesus' Holy Name, and the incense itself speaks of Him, in our midst. This altar was the Priest's favorite duty to perform ... it also corresponds to the heart of Jesus, as all these things are laid out in the shape of a Cross. It is also before the Most Holy Place, the Ark of the Covenant, and there is no more veil separating us.

He can certainly "perfume" us with His Presence!

Others have experienced the tree of life, and seen entire forests of it, accompanied with a strong pleasant odor. I'm not suggesting that's what you smelled I don't know, but our Lord is a life giving Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty!
