I always enjoyed Bob Trefz's videos he made in the 90s with Prophecy Countdown (with John Osborne

He definitely comes across as arrogant and sure in his intellectual self.... I'm sure he has many sycophants surrounding him affirming this superiority to him. He appears to be almost paranoid and hiding out in the bush somewhere, only coming out to give occasional discourses.
That said, he is very well read with a memory like an elephant. I do respect him for his broad knowledge of many historical subjects. Do you know if he is associated with the Conference?

He is very well read. I use to follow him to meetings because of that. He would have tables of books which he read, and during his discourses he would refer to these books while explaining what is happening. I have followed him since the first "freedom's ring" newsletter when he was on the internet. He was caught up in the blame for the Murrah building bombing OKC. That drove him way into hiding and paranoia. He has always had the same groups around him. I wrote him asking if he needed someone to grow a garden for market and ministry support and he was quite rude on his response.
What I have noticed about many of the "self supporting" ministries is the great lack of faith and reliance on God's decision about who to bring into their "inner circle" of their ministry. It seems like they just want their friends to be part of their "gang". I have tried to get involved with many of them, but their quick denial shows their lack of prayer and Godly decision.

I could be wrong, I think he said in one of his videos in the 90s that he was disfellowshipped.
His materials are very informative. I don't know him personally.

I think some seem to be like that, perhaps because they have a following.
Not everyone though. I've met Jan Marcussen a couple of times. He is the meekest person I've ever met.

I have met Marcussen too, and you are right. He emits such love for all. He always takes time to talk to anybody who approaches him. John Grosboll too. His teaching is so easy to understand but, because he is not exciting not many listen to him.
There are a few Godly teachers and preachers out there, but the sad reality is that there are not enough. God showed me long ago not to get attached to any teacher. I use to be a Ty Gibson disciple until my friend showed me his error. Him and I studied for months breaking down Gibson's message, and finally we caught it and approached him with the truth, and he flat denied everything we were saying. we had all the proof and he has nothing. To this day Ty's message has gone from bad to extremely confusing. I watched him a couple times lately and was shocked that people still even listen to him along with Ivor Myers, and Rafferty. These guys teach a very subtle message that sounds great and loving, but it is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the Ty Gibson gospel. This removed me from ever putting trust or faith in any teaching or teachers without breaking down their teaching to the minutest atom and dissecting it by the word of God. Ittakes very little dissecting any more. After all the studying I have done about the doctrine of salvation the errors are very easy to spot.
Salvation should be the life study of every Christian, to be certain we are not led astray, nor are we leading others astray.

I don't put my faith on any man. All men fall short of Jesus. The problem I see with these independent ministries is that when they get bigger and more followers, the pride sets in. It's human nature.
Agreed about Ivor Myers. I went to his meeting once. The man was so arrogant, so unapproachable, his teachings so unbiblical, yet he had the whole congregation so amazed at what he was saying.

Bob Trefz was one of very few indeed who stood for God's Truth and received little else but hate and flack for it. He wasn't a coward because he 'hid out in the bush' - he was simply moving to protect his family (and of course himself), which was wise. He had a sharp intellect and although he may have seemed arrogant, I believe this appearance was more the tough exterior he had to obtain in order to survive the attacks made on him. He was actually a humble man. Made some fabulous videos with John Osborne, who unfortunately caved in to SDA GC pressure to stay silent. We either stand to represent the Lord's truth, or we betray Him, and betrayal will cost us our eternal life in the not too distant future when the Sunday Law is legislated. Preparation for these times is imperative - now!
