Yeah, no.

Biden pardoned Hunter for EVERYTHING he did and/or MAY HAVE done for an 11-year period. Trump may have abused the pardon power as most Presidents have done, but not even Trump has issued a pardon so broad and sweeping.
Maybe not, but Ford did.

So, it's precedent.

Nope. If you have a law degree then consider asking for a tuition refund. Since Merchan has repeated delayed sentencing, the criminal case is not over. Merchan cleverly blocked sentencing to prevent Trump from appealing ... I've posted all this before but as usual you just don't want to hear it.

The 10 Stages of a Criminal Case

Stages of a Criminal Case
  1. Arrest
  2. Booking Process
  3. Bail or Bond
  4. Arraignment
  5. Plea Bargaining
  6. Preliminary Hearing
  7. Pre-Trial Motions
  8. Criminal Trial
  9. Sentencing
  10. Appeals Process
The trial is over, a verdict has been reached. Sentencing is the next step in the process, but that doesn't mean there was no verdict.

Someone is still a convicted felon, even if their sentence is suspended. In Trump's case, sentencing has been postponed, not suspended.

-- A2SG, but it's entertaining to watch how ardently Trump's defenders work to defend their idol....

Heard Fauci is getting pardoned next...if he did nothing wrong, as he says, why does he need a pardon? Hmmmm...

Did you not read the article in the link that you posted?
In case you haven't heard the news, there's an incoming adminstration that has vowed to weaponize the justice department with vengence against perceived foes. The pardons are described as precautionary and blanket.
It is what happens when the lesser/greater (depending on perspective) of two evils gets elected. Evil wins either way.

I did. Biden weaponized it against Trump. Precautionary for Fauci? What for if he is not guilty of anything. Why not pardon his entire administration then?

Likely related to the years-long fruitless search by GOP leadership to find something, anything he might have done wrong during that time.

But at this point we're just quibbling about the details of presidents pardoning family members. At least Biden didn't then make the family member an ambassador.

Keep trying. We have a jury verdict not a court verdict. But the libs got what they wanted in this sham trial, and you bought that Kool-Aid before it was even stirred.

Did Kamala return some of the donor's money yet? Hopefully, you didn't get caught up in that scam either.

Sorry, but the jury verdict IS the court verdict. Sentencing isn't a verdict, it's the next step in the process, after conviction.

But the libs got what they wanted in this sham trial, and you bought that Kool-Aid before it was even stirred.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We've all heard that before. But what we never hear is exactly how this "sham" worked. Was the evidence false? No one's demonstrated that. Was the jury in on the "sham"? Why didn't Trump’s legal team pick up on that when they selected the jury?

Come on, you want to claim misconduct in court, prove it!

Otherwise, it's just sour grapes that your guy was found guilty because he was guilty.

Did Kamala return some of the donor's money yet? Hopefully, you didn't get caught up in that scam either.
She lost, I've moved on.

-- A2SG, I'm not a donor, so it's not my problem....

Keep looking ...
After a whole bunch of reliable legal dictionaries concur with me..... I finally found a source that agrees with you! Congrats!

So maybe its just guilty felon Trump and not convicted felon Trump? Or not. Either way I wont be using the phrase outside of this particular discussion. Its a distraction.

Sour grapes? In spite of the sham trial, Trump's the president-elect, in case you didn't know. How do you like those sour grapes?

As usual a thread that inquires on Biden's behavior is turned by liberals into, "But what about Trump!"

And also what the facts demonstrate. Which I imagine is why that instead of presenting argument of this giant conspiracy theory there's just a lot of hot air.
Really, what "facts" are those? I think after 1/20/25 we WILL find out the truth...

Still claiming it was a sham, but not showing how it was, I see.

Or did you think i hadn't noticed?

I'm not thrilled about it, but thems the breaks.

Bit it's just so easy!

-- A2SG, just mention facts, and get conspiracy theories in response....

Here's a great explanation of the constitutional questions in Trump's trial.

Well, have you also noticed post#158? (A tip of the hat to probinson and Professor Jed Rubenfeld!)

The fat lady you claimed in error has sung on the matter has, as I claimed, not sung yet. No need to apologize.
