Can you provide some insight on what a vision board is? I'd like to help you.
I think it's great to write down your goals, maybe put pictures next to them so you can visualize what you want. It can help you for motivation and encourage you each time you look at them.
However the "speak things into existance" the things you desire part seems a little off. I don't think that part is really godly. But just having a poster board full of your dreams and things you want to do, I don't see any problem with that. You can certainly use that for encouragement.
I wouldn't stare at it all day by any means, and it wouldn't hurt to put some bible verses on there, so that you make sure you are pursuing things for the right reasons, but other than that go for it.
I realize you're not trying to worship it, I think you just need to be careful. God calls things into existance, not us.
So by saying, making this board, I'm going to speak these things into existance you're saying that just by making this poster board these things are going to happen.
Does that make sense? I'm not trying to pick on you, or make it seem like you're into some voodoo type nonsense or whatever. Just trying to make the point that when you say "speak into existance" it seems like you're motivation is coming entirely from you or just from the process of making this poster board, instead of God and that's not as healthy.
Maybe I'm just making it more confusing I don't know.
lol you are misunderstanding me. I rely on God's strength and power not my own. I used that term to reference my point about the board not saying I'm going to use witchcraft or whatever to make it happen MYSELF. God Bless You
Are you talking about that New Age thing where you focus on things you WANT thinking by tuning into it that you can force it to happen?
Or just a plain old board of goals you'd like to achieve in life as a way of support or therapy?
Okay then
Just seemed an odd choice of words to me
So, go for it![]()

Wow you seem really upset, I hope you have a good day its NOT that serious
No no I'm not upset. I didn't mean to give you that impression. I really do think a poster board with goals / things you want to achieve is a great idea.
It's just that particular phrase kind of made me a little nervous though. But like you said, misunderstanding about the meaning behind that phrase was.
I'm really not upset, I was just discussing your idea and giving my opinion.
Sorry if I came across as being a total grouch
Perhaps I'm still kind of sleepy today...
I want a regular board of goals, but I realize that some have incorporated New Age practices in this so I want to avoid it. I think I can create something without any occult means behind it
Hi
you basically put your dreams/goals on a poster board in forms of pictures or phrases or quotes and sit it in your house to look at for inspiration. It's said that it helps to "speak things into existence" that you desire. I guess it keeps one focused on their dreams
