Anberlin, lead singer sounds like Cher...

Listen to a song like The Symphony of Blase and listen to the lead singer's voice and then listen to a recent song by Cher. Am I insane, or do they have really similar voices? Cher might not be as mellow, but I think there's a definite similarity. Even though Cher is a lady (not gonna say a girl, cuz she's like 60 now) and the lead singer of Anberlin is a guy - I think their voices are eerily similar.

Seriously think about it, tell me what you think.

After listening to it again... I guess I know what you could be talking about, but I don't really think he sounds like Cher.

Hey, I used to be a huge Anberlin fan. Until I saw them live. Twice. Guess which of those two live performances sucked?

That's right: both of 'em! Dude couldn't hit the notes, the drummer was...blah; etc.

Both of their records kick @ss, but I'm firm in my belief that it's due to the masterful production of Aaron Sprinkle. He could make just about any poo-poo band sound good. Like Anberlin, for instance...

Aaron Sprinkle is incredible.
He does great female vocals on Stavesacre's Collective.

The lead singer wouldn't sound exactly like the album unless you heard the concert in a recording studio. That's just my point.

As I mentioned in my thread, I saw them live, and I thought they rocked! I love the band, and the guys were good enough to take photos with fans and sign autographs.
