  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ike has come and gone. Had to endure over 8 days without power or basic services. 6 days were spent working in my yard - and others - clearing huge trees and an assortment of branches.

I'm never gonna get rich off selling pictures to Christians. You're never going to get rich if you don't find the wealth in your heart. Once you find this - no monetary value can be placed on anything else.

I spent the last 8 days talking without a/c, in candles and I thought of the cool front that swept into the night air. And I thanked Him. He does give you all you need.

And, I thought of the roses that still bloomed just days after 100 plus mile per hour winds ripped 100 year old Oak trees to shreds. I watched the squirrels running - they had been safe. And, I saw a butterfly and thought how simple He makes things and how complex they are to understand. It's really priceless when you think of it...

No - you don't always get every dream - and that's fine.

As long as everyone is healthy and can enjoy the simple things- that's all that matters....

Humbly yours,
Jason A. Fontaine
