Three U.S. citizen children were deported to Honduras from Louisiana, sparking national outrage and prompting a U.S. District Judge to criticize the deportation process as lacking "meaningful process."

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty wrote that the toddler, identified as VML, had been sent to Honduras on Friday, alongside her mother and sister, even as the court had sought to clarify the girl's status.

"The Government contends that this is all okay because the mother wishes that the child be deported with her," Doughty wrote. "But the Court doesn't know that."

Additional cases

Another Honduran mother was deported with her two U.S. citizen children, ages 4 and 7

Per AP: The 4-year-old — who is suffering from a rare form of cancer — and the 7-year-old were deported to Honduras within a day of being arrested with their mother, Willis said.

Don't worry if Donald wins at supreme court over birthright citizenship they won't be citizens....
I'm thinking that even if Trump were to win (he won't) that the citizenship is grandfathered in to those already born.

The bigger problem though is all this immigrant hating and scapegoating that is occurring. Immigrants are not the source of much USA problems, though they could be the solution. The birthrate is so low that even to maintain population we need not only those babies born in America but we need immigrants.
To the U.S. citizen child with cancer, Honduras could be a death sentence if they can't get decent care. Similarly, if one approves of this type of action without court oversight, what about children going to other nations with the non-citizen father? There are nations where they would never be seen again on American soil. So hopefully the courts can step up their oversight.
