Or, maybe, provide a good candidate, no, that would not give the lobbyists enough money,

It was just as Just as tough in 2020 when most voters didn't want either candidate, but had to choose one

Hey you know why politicians don't make good policies?
Because if they did then they couldn't claim they needed a second term.

That's interesting, all right, but unless we go to a different system by which we choose our presidents, that's all it is.

I think it very interesting that politicians don't pick any policies the public actually want.

Hillary did an appalling job. Her comment on the basket of deplorable s was just one of a pile of reasons to avoid her. Supporting every vote there was for war was the reason although I was then a Democrat certainly couldn't support her. She only said the Republicans did a good job to massage her ego.

The big problem is the majority of the public is right, and that is the basis of Democracy - there really isn't anyone suitable.

It goes like this: the Right Wing policies no longer work and the Democrats have abandoned the left and are going after the same voters as the Republicans are, resulting in two almost identical parties. They are struggling to distinguish themselves, many Republicans are declaring all Democrats to be socialists and the Democrats are claiming to be on the left, while meanwhile claiming not to be on the left.

Bernie is a genuine socialist of some type, but the most avid DNC supporters have neutralized him, AOC is for real and any Democrats on the left are wining big time so the DNC particularly wants to be rid of them, claiming in some counter-intuitive way that it would leave more votes for the rest of them. Biden says if medicare for all or single payer, I can't remember which, reaches his desk he will veto it and jail-em-all Harris is doing things like smile which I think are against her instincts. Meanwhile 52 Trillion healthcare plan Elizabeth Warren is managing to combine the worst of both Worlds.

Well, the results were disastrous...

And about 63 million Americans got it wrong...

But I think that most of them did not realize the danger the outgoing president would place our democracy in. They were misled, and obviously they were too trusting.

As for me, not only will I never trust Trump or his family members, but neither will I trust his co-dependents and accomplices in the legislature or the government. I will never ever trust anyone who feels that it's OK to put a sledgehammer to democracy to cling on to political power.

I don't think that any members of Congress or the cabinet can claim ignorance. They know who the President Elect is. They know that the lawsuits are political theater grounded in falsehood.

It seems that way, doesn't it? But the Electoral College was great for its day, even if some people think there should be a change now. And there is no reason it cannot now be changed to one of the other systems that people have suggested. Just amend the Constitution as has been done before.
