1.) I agree both parties spent/spend and both parties contributed, but only one party is devolving into something unrecognizable because someone dares to stop spending like drunken sailors on payday.

2.) the deep state is the bureaucratic apparatus that operates "above the law" without either oversight or accountability.

3.) 9 Trillion dollars is not the same as 36 Trillion dollars - which is where we are now, after 12 years of Democrats and I "pandemic" (aka biological attack by China on the entire world).

The status quo will literally destroy us if we don't stop this...
To be fair, the irresponsible 2017 tax cuts geared to the 1% and big corporations created the deficits.
Government should never, never, never cut revenue while our national debt is so high.
It's a Republican game called starve the beast. Cut funds and then say, "Look, we're broke. We need to throw the widows and orphans off the ship." Shameful and degenerate.

The status quo will literally destroy us if we don't stop this...and the Democratic party in the main is acting in favor of our destruction. All they have to do is stop, and work with us, as opposed to silly protests and '30's union songs, as if.
The Democratic Party has become the party of resistance. They have no solutions, only resisting Trump at every opportunity. It wouldn't matter if Trump found the cure for cancer, he would be resisted.

Oh, we have solutions, but without some Republicans crossing the aisle, we can't implement them in law.

And there's certainly no reason to vote for things that we don't believe in.

You do realize you published info from a Republican House Committee disputing the CBO report, don't you?
A highly partisan rebuttals facts in evidence?

Why weren't these solutions implemented during the biden administration when democrats had control of congress?

We had Inspectors General rooting out fraud and were supplying veterans with healthcare and rides, not downsizing and preventing veterans from accessing healthcare.

When Trump 2.0 is wrecking things, a valid solution is to say, "Stop wrecking things."

How is Trump "wrecking things?"

A First Sergeant is more than likely retired. It's not like they have nothing. I lost three jobs and did just fine on my retirement before finding new work and it was a lot less than an E-8.
Thanks for your service!

The Democratic Party has become the party of resistance. They have no solutions, only resisting Trump at every opportunity. It wouldn't matter if Trump found the cure for cancer, he would be resisted.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. From my perspective ( independent view) , both parties have become parties of resistance. Republicans seldom worked with President Obama in his second term. Democrats did the same during President Trump's last term. Under President Biden, despite 2-3 major bipartisan bills passing, nothing achieved since Republicans regained control of the House. It remains to be seen if Democrats will collaborate with President Trump. I assume they will not.

Regarding criticism, I recall when President Obama was in office. Right-wing cable TV and radio would refer to him as "Barack Hussein Obama," often emphasizing the middle name "Hussein" to suggest he was Muslim. The current President of the United States questioned President Obama's citizenship for eight years. Republicans labeled President Obama a socialist and accused him of associating with terrorists.

When President Trump took office, Democrats criticized him harshly, labeling him as authoritarian and expressing concerns about the end of democracy. They often criticized his tweets, speeches, and spontaneous comments. Left wing media outlets have been critical of President Trump since he took office. Even though it has not been a month since his inauguration, some are already questioning, "Where is the resistance, Where is the resistance?"

During President Biden's four years in office, the sitting president of the United States did not acknowledge that President Biden won the election. More than 40% of Republicans couldn't admit Biden's victory. Fox News paid over $700 million for false election claims.

Please refrain from claiming that Democrats are the party of resistance and Republicans are the party of solutions. Both parties have their similarities.

The economy performed well under President Trump for the first three years, but it did not exceed expectations or provide a significant boost compared to the previous decade. It followed a similar trend before and after.

here is the US GDP since 2008

House Democrat [Derek Tran of the OC] introduces bill to reinstate veterans fired from the federal government under Trump

[Bill's not expected to go anywhere, even though the government tries to encourage veterans to work in the federal government.]

The Veterans Employment Initiative was enacted by then-President Barack Obama to streamline and boost veteran recruitment and retention efforts across the government.
So? There are many servicemembers who are technically "veterans" who have been dishonorable discharged. Regardless, I fail to see what this has to do with the topic at hand.

Project 2025 said too many vets are disabled for things like PTSD or burn pit exposure, so it will be much harder to get in the future.
Harder?

Burn pit fund on the chopping block

The six-month government spending package, which largely holds federal spending at fiscal year 2024 levels, would cut the Toxic Exposures Fund (TEF) for the VA next year.

But the continuing resolution (CR) drafted and passed by House Republicans zeros out funding that would have been used for the TEF in the fall.
