California voters ‘indifferent’ over potential Kamala Harris run for governor: ‘Surprising lack of enthusiasm’

California policy influencers are “indifferent” about former Vice President Kamala Harris running for governor in the state, a survey conducted by Politico and UC Berkeley’s Citrin Center found.
The poll surveyed California registered voters and a selected group of policy insiders, who included lawmakers, as well as state and federal government staffers. California’s registered voters were more enthusiastic about Harris than the policy insiders, with 33% reportedly feeling “joyful” about the possibility.
Thirty-six percent of the policy influencers said they felt “indifferent” about Harris running for governor. Just 4% said they would be outraged, 22% said they were “mostly excited” and 20% said they were irritated by the potential gubernatorial bid.

Is she repeating RM Nixon’s career?

The amazing Katie Porter, down-to-earth single mom former Congresswoman, who with her whiteboard and wisdom eviscerated CEOs and billionaires and exposed the truth, is also running for governor.
Adam Schiff, bolstered by big money, beat her for Senate.
She was Elizabeth Warren's best law school student (unsurprisingly, Tom Cotton was one of her least favorites).
America needs her desperately.
She's a professor and master teacher who knows disarmingly how to wipe the fog from people's eyes and the cobwebs from their brains.
She is so relatable and normal that in her first day of Congress a Congressman handed her his car keys, mistaking her for a valet Parker.

I like and voted for Kamala, but Katie is my hero.

Seems as though there are more compelling options for Californians. Not surprising - with the state being as liberal as it is, someone who ran (and lost, no less) on a pretty milquetoast centrist presidential ticket is probably not what the majority of voters there are looking for.

Are they getting ready for Gavin's run for the WhiteHouse?

I don't think Kamala will amount much - she botched the Presidential race so badly - spent close to 2 Billion and it did her no good except leaving a debt of 15 million

She has already amounted to much.

I think her political career is over.
If the DNC had a primary, she would never be the nominee. In the 2020 primary, she frequently changed her positions. She was a weak candidate. In 2024 many people who voted for her were actually voting against President Trump.

I don;t know if her career is over, but bingo. She would have not won any primary in 2024. Keep in mind 2020 she had to drop out even before the very first caucus in Iowa. Enthusiasm amongst Dems in 2024 just wasn't there given the appoint by default candidate.

Kamala lost by the largest landslide in history.
This is incorrect. I'm not Harris supporter, but Trump didn't even crack 50% of the popular vote and only had 1.5% points more than Harris.

I personally think that the guy is insane. Thankfully Ronald Reagan got rid of all the asylums so he is free to roam the streets, carry a gun, and serve in the Navy, spreading truth nobody wants to hear around the world. He is like a reverse public service message.
