  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Can’t Stop Repeating Prayers (OCD)

Hello, I’ve been a long time sufferer of OCD even though I only recently got diagnosed. My OCD began around the time when I was about 8 or 9 and experienced the death of my great grandfather. Soon after that, I began to feel the need to pray constantly for my family in order to keep them alive...

    Take Heart

Jesus Christ was getting ready to go to the cross to die for our sins, so that we could be liberated from our slavery to sin, and so we could become slaves of his righteousness. So, he spent some time with his disciples, talking with them, and preparing them for what was coming next. First he...

    Not Enough Time?

Probably, when you came to faith in Jesus Christ, you were told that you must read your Bible and pray, for that is how you grow in your faith and in your walk with the Lord. But, what does that mean exactly? How is that done? And, are there wrong and right ways to read your Bible and pray? I...

At least Matt tried to consider a context....!

Recently, popular atheist Matt Dillahunty released the following video. In it, he does his best to admit that in a tiny way he may have misinterpreted some little bit-bite of Scripture that deals with the perennial bug-a-boo we all know as 'prayer.' And as we also all know, this one bit-bite...

    Prayer 11/4/19
