You haven't provided anything of substance,
I couldn't find the diaries online, but I did find this at a page of the Royal Museums, Greenwich (UK) site: Captain James Cook’s Second Voyage :The Journals of Captain Cook are not hidden, they've been published for decades and anyone can buy a copy or borrow one from the library. David Muniz is a liar. He could easily provide direct quotes from Captain Cook's journals to back up his claims if they were true. What a pathetic waste.
Nothing there about encountering an ice wall.Having gone as far south as he could, Cook noted before turning about, “I who had ambitions not only to go farther than anyone had done before, but as far as it was possible for man to go, was not sorry at meeting with this interruption…”
So all the people who have claimed to have been to the South Pole are, in your view, liars. This would include the very recent trip by Devon-based disabled man Jonny Huntingdon, described like this on the BBC website:
By Quoth the Raven, Nevermore
Don't read it, not unless you want to. However, make what you will of these passages:
Quote:
In the Flat-Earth model, the South Pole does not exist at all and Antarctica is instead a gigantic ice-wall extending the circumference of Earth holding in the oceans like a giant bowl, or a “world cup.” As strange as this concept may sound at first, it is a fact that if you set a bearing due South from anywhere on Earth, inevitably at or before 78 degrees Southern latitude, you will find yourself face-to-face with an enormous ice-wall towering 100-200 feet in the air extending to the East and West the entire circumference of the world!
Quote:
Antarctica is not the tiny “ice-continent” found confined to the underside antipode of astronomer’s globes. Quite the contrary, Antarctica literally surrounds us 360 degrees, encircles every continent, and acts as a barrier holding in the oceans.
What of various explorers?
Quote:
In 1773 Captain Cook became the first modern explorer known to have breached the Antarctic Circle and reached the ice barrier. During three voyages, lasting three years and eight days, Captain Cook and crew sailed a total of 60,000 miles along the Antarctic coastline never once finding an inlet or path through or beyond the massive glacial wall! Captain Cook wrote: “The ice extended east and west far beyond the reach of our sight, while the southern half of the horizon was illuminated by rays of light which were reflected from the ice to a considerable height. It was indeed my opinion that this ice extends quite to the pole, or perhaps joins some land to which it has been fixed since creation.”
Quote:
During Captain James Clark Ross’s voyages around the Antarctic circumference, he often wrote in his journal perplexed at how they routinely found themselves out of accordance with their charts, stating that they found themselves an average of 12-16 miles outside their reckoning every day, some days as much as 29 miles.
William Carpenter, an author/printer, wrote a book called "A Hundred Proofs The Earth Is Not A Globe". Here's one comment:
Quote:
"There are rivers that flow for hundreds of miles towards the level of the sea without falling more than a few feet — notably, the Nile, which, in a thousand miles, falls but a foot. A level expanse of this extent is quite incompatible with the idea of the Earth's convexity. It is, therefore, a reasonable proof that Earth is not a globe."
Over to you, folks.
So all the people who have claimed to have been to the South Pole are, in your view, liars. This would include the very recent trip by Devon-based disabled man Jonny Huntingdon, described like this on the BBC website:
Jonny Huntington has said he is feeling "good, safe and healthy" after making history as the first disabled person to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole.
- 9 January 2025
Huntington, from Kingsbridge, Devon, said he was "very happy with with how everything turned out".
The para-skier, who has a paralysed left foot and limited mobility in his left leg, said he managed to complete the expedition through sheer determination and support from his team.
He covered 566 miles (911km) of Antarctic ice in 46 days despite the effects of a debilitating stroke he suffered in 2014.
'Feeling really good'
"I'm surprised by how well I'm doing," he said from Antarctica.
"All the stuff that was hurting on the ice is now not hurting. I'm feeling really good. I'm feeling pretty rested.
"The main thing from my point of view is that I've achieved what I set out to do, and I'm feeling good, safe, healthy."
The 38-year-old set off from Fuchs-Messner on 21 November 2024 and arrived at the South Pole on Monday.
Throughout his expedition, he skied in extreme conditions, including freezing temperatures and 24-hour sunlight, while dragging a 242lb (110kg) sled carrying his food and equipment.
"You take the rough and the smooth and you just carry on one step at a time," he said."
No mention about a gigantic ice-wall towering 100-200 feet in the air!
What ever do you mean? How could he get any further in? He actually reached the South Pole. "The 38-year-old set off from Fuchs-Messner on 21 November 2024 and arrived at the South Pole on Monday."Didn't go further enough the way in.

Our local ITV news featured an interview with him soon after he had done so. Not only he, bu many other explorers have reached the South Pole. They have all encountered ice, but none have been prevented from getting there by your supposed "gigantic ice-wall towering 100-200 feet in the air."
So according to you, Jonny must be a liar, and ITV West Country must have fabricated their report in which they interviewed Jonny in Antarctica. Also, again according to you, all the explorers who say they have visited the South Pole must be lying too. Why would "they" want to keep me away from a dome? My eternal salvation is assured by the completed work of Jesus Christ. It is not affected one little bit by my beliefs about Antarctica or the South Pole. Satan will use all he can to try to get me to deny my Saviour, but the nature of Antarctica certainly won't do that.I'm sorry but they couldn't have gone further enough in else they would have encountered the edge of the Dome the stuff they want to keep you away from.

Well, if they say they reached the South Pole, there would be no "further in" for them to go, so they (all of them) must have been lying, or at least mistaken, if you are correct.I'm not saying they are lying I'm just saying they didn't go far enough in.

I didn't mention the experiment. I was answering your post where you had suggested that explorers who say they have been to the South Pole didn't go far enough in. Once they reached the South Pole, if they kept going in any direction, they would have been on their way out.All this has come to nought, zilt has been proven & this experiment has fell into oblivion where it belongs, there are still f/e believers out there.![]()

I don't know what you're so excited about. All this has come to nought, zilt has been proven & this experiment has fell into oblivion where it belongs, there are still f/e believers out there.![]()

I don't know what you're so excited about.
This wasn't your experiment; it's not for you to say whether or not it failed
The only thing that provoked any interest at all from you was that your beloved Dean Odel (whom you later said that you didn't trust) might have been going to Antarctica. He didn't go, so you reverted to your claims of "fake, rubbish".
You don't realise how inconsistent you are.
I don't see how the presence on the earth of people like you who believe the earth is flat proves whether or not the experiment has come to nought or not. As Strong in Him wrote: "Even the flat earthers who went are saying that they now have to re-think the 24 hour sun, because they have seen it for themselves."Because the whole charade has come to nought.
I know it did else why are there stll f/e's still around ?
Not at all - it's either your own fantasies, or your FE friends, telling you that.Because the whole charade has come to nought.
Because they've held on to their misguided beliefs for a long time and have no intention of giving up their beliefs. Either they are clever enough to study evidence to the contrary, or they don't do it because they are afraid they may be proved wrong.I know it did else why are there stll f/e's still around ?
You, yourself said that If Dean were to go on that trip, come back and say that he was wrong, and the 24-hour sun did show that the earth is a globe, you would believe him. You said that you trusted him and could believe what he said. You were excited about the fact that he might have accepted the free place, and you were beginning to see him in a new light (your words) after you had said "I now see that Flat Earth is a load of nonsense."No, I reverted to it being a load of rubbish b/c of Rission vid's 153 news it had nothing to do with Dean.
I've yet to see what he says about this experiment. They did what he had challenged someone to do; go to Antarctica for a week and watch, and record, the 24-hour sun. I don't know if he has the guts to admit that he was wrong.
Sorry, I'm not going to listen to it at all. Here's what Dean Odle had to to say about the final experiment & I hope you will watch it & listen carefully to what he has to say.
