I start too many books at one time, but eventually I will settle down and finish one, then get back to the others.

Yesterday before lunch, I finished Not Until You by Valerie M. Bodden as a re-read of the Hope Springs series (while I wait for a new River Falls book). I appreciate Valerie's ability to bring social or spiritual issues into her books and deal with them well along with the love story she wants to present.

Yesterday evening, I finished reading Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen to my teens. Fun, and such a witty ending!

And then a little later in the evening, I finished Love and Other Great Expectations by Becky Dean as part of my winding down for sleep. It's the first novel for the author, and I think she did a good job of presenting a teen scavenger hunt that allowed the main character to work through grief and friendship issues. I'm hoping she's working on another, and that it'll include spiritual issues (since she ended her acknowledgements with thanks to Jesus).

I have a shelf full of library books to try next, and they don't please, I'll read the next Valerie Bodden book! :)

I had set aside Harm's Way by David Mack (a Star Trek Original Series novel) and picked it up again last night since I've just recently finished two other newer books. I think I remember where the plot was headed, and we'll see if it's an enjoyable read. I do have a new Trek novel on the way, so that one could take the place of the current read! (I should just finish one when I start it... Attention problems with reading? LOL)

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, the same author as The Martian. In Project Hail Mary a microbial alien lifeform has drifted into the Solar System, and as the small microbes grow in number, they begin to block the solar energy of the Sun from reaching Earth. Earth scientists discover all nearby stars are dimming due to the alien microbes, all except Tau Ceti (a yellow star similar to the Sun), which is 12 light years away. Project Hail Mary sends a team of scientists to discover what is at Tau Ceti that can stop or kill the microbes. On the way all but one of the crew members are killed. Ryland Grace is the sole survivor and must complete the mission alone, at least until a blip appears on his instruments. A blip that cannot possibly be a Human spacecraft in the Tau Ceti system.
