Looks like she was unimpressed by the administrative warrant. The court rules allowed arrests in public areas of the courthouse. FBI asserts she snuck the person out a jury door.

He was captured outside after a foot chase.

Trump on the arrest: "I expect the legal profession to understand that the nation is not here for them, but they are here for the nation... From now on, I will intervene in these cases and remove from office those judges who evidently do not understand the demand of the hour."

Misdirecting federal agents seeking out a criminal is a crime. Judges should not be above the law. Senator Ron Johnson was quoted in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: "I would advise everyone to cooperate with federal law enforcement and not endanger them and the public by obstructing their efforts to arrest criminals and illegal aliens."

Much as it pains me, I have to agree with the FBI on this one. The guy was charged with other offences (DV I believe), so this wasn't a case of the government "over-ruling" the court by arresting or deporting someone a judge had ordered not be deported. If the guy was an illegal immigrant, then ICE presumably had every right to be there, and every right to arrest him.

The judge helping him escape arrest was wrong for the same reason that Trump ignoring court orders to return deported people is wrong. And you have to wonder how would that judge feel if someone else had decided that the defendant shouldn't have to appear in her courtroom, and helped him escape before the trial?

Great! When is the FBI going to arrest the President?

This indeed was not just ignoring federal authority, it was actively impeding federal law enforcement officers from doing their job. Of course the expected protests as can be seen in the below video:

I couldn't find the CNN article I was reading earlier about this, but TIME covers the same details

She asked one of the officers if they had a judicial warrant and was told that the warrant was instead administrative. After a back-and-forth over the warrant, the affidavit says, she demanded that the arrest team speak with the chief judge and led them away from the courtroom.

After directing the arrest team to the chief judge's office, investigators say Dugan returned to the courtroom was and was heard saying words to the effect of “wait, come with me” before ushering Flores-Ruiz and his lawyer through a jury door into a non-public area of the courthouse. The action was unusual, the affidavit says, because “only deputies, juries, court staff, and in-custody defendants being escorted by deputies used the back jury door. Defense attorneys and defendants who were not in custody never used the jury door.”

In a nutshell, there are sworn affidavits suggesting that she intentionally led federal agents over to another judge's office, and then when while they were occupied talking to the chief judge, she used that time help Ruiz and his lawyer sneak away using the jury door.

This is the problem with "all or nothing politics". When it becomes a virtue to support or fight against (depending on which team someone's on) every single deportation/ICE apprehension scenario, people box themselves into an ideological corner and end up making boneheaded decisions.

In this instance, a judge who was dissatisfied with Trump's approach to immigration (as a whole), helped a domestic abuser (who probably should be deported) sneak away.

Remember when it was the president and it was all "Witch hunt" and "innocent until proven guilty"? My but the cries about this government official sure sound different for some reason.
These are not fabricated charges nor twisting of the law. No one is trying to interfere in her running for office nor gag her nor give her a jury of political opponents. In this case there are actual witnesses to a real crime, many witnesses.

Oh, it went a lot further than that: after he was convicted, aka proven guilty, it was "innocent until sentenced", then, after sentencing, it morphed to "innocent until all possible appeals are heard".

As one post I read elsewhere online today said:

An "adminstrative warrant" is a memo that some one wrote "warrant" at the top of.

The administration has made a show of arresting judges. This is strategy.
The judges deliberately took action, no one was out to frame them. They could have simply been uncooperative but instead chose to harbor criminals or help a criminal escape. The left has been championing radical judges and the judges couldn't seem to help themselves and aided and abetted criminals. In this last case the judge made a show by committing a crime in front of numerous witnesses. Many Democrats think that these un-elected judges should command the president.

Also should be pointed out what they did was stupid, reckless, and counter productive, arresting people in a place they have to be, means otehr people are going to not show up for court just in case they get nabbed, especially with the feds and ice already showing they don't care if someones legal or not.

"According to court documents, the charges stem from events occurring on April 18, when members of the Milwaukee office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE ERO), along with federal partners from the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, attempted to execute a lawful arrest warrant for Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican national previously removed from the United States and recently charged in Milwaukee County with multiple counts of domestic abuse-related battery.
According to court documents, federal agents arrived at the Milwaukee County Courthouse intending to arrest Flores-Ruiz in a public hallway following his court appearance before Judge Dugan. Upon learning of the agents’ presence in the hallway, Judge Dugan allegedly confronted and ordered federal agents to leave the courthouse. After being made aware of a valid immigration arrest warrant, Judge Dugan told agents that they needed a judicial warrant and demanded that they go to the Chief Judge’s office. Once the agents were no longer in the vicinity of her courtroom, Judge Dugan allegedly elected not to conduct a hearing on Flores-Ruiz’s criminal case, despite the fact that victims of his offense were present, and instead personally escorted Flores-Ruiz and his attorney through a restricted “jury door” exit not typically used by defendants or attorneys.

My highlighting. As to badges, whether or not to display your badges depends on the situation. If a subject might flee you don't want to display a badge. If you have a residence surrounded and are announcing yourself then you want to wear identification. As to arresting people at the courthouse, this is nothing new, recall such arrests during the Biden regime:
