How Trump betraying the Budapest Memorandum might lead to WW3

In the 1994 Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, the UK, America, and Russia PLEDGED to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in exchange for Ukraine transferring its nuclear weapons to Russia and joining the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) as a non-nuclear state. PLEDGED!

But then Russia invaded - and now Trump is cheering them on!

What nation is ever going to trust the US again after that betrayal? The message is loud and clear. Keep your nukes - or get your own!

Trump may have just triggered the largest nuclear proliferation humanity will ever see - until "Oh oh - Armageddon by accident" finally gets us.

And Trump was so ignorant about all this HE had the gall to tell Zelensky - "You're gambling with WW3!"

No one will die and the bloated Defense budget that benefits no one can be distributed to feed the masses, give them Soviet Era health care, everyone has a quality apartment to live in, all the news will be positive, and we will be the envy of the world.

I think most of our allies realize that it is Trump who is the problem, not America, and that when we regain our national sanity all will be well.

The US republic has always been dependent on having a strong civil society... even many of our Founders recognized this. Unfortunately, decades of neoliberal economics have led to the decline of our civil society and its institutions, which is why we experience a lack of responsible government right now.

And yet he won the popular vote, the electoral college , every swing state - the party won both the house and senate - beating the best the Democrats had to offer - and now their party is descending into chaos and at it's lowest approval rating in history.

Yet we are supposed to believe the worst of him?

But don't worry - if the Democratic Party doesn't drop their far left agenda, it will ensure the next Republican Candidate (I hope it is Vance) a better than average chance of winning even more.


As for the Budapest Memorandum - Trump is not the one who 'walked away from it' Biden in not confronting Putin while proliferating the war owns that.
