God is very detailed in describing the deceptions that will be used, (The False Prophet) calls fire down from heaven before (The Beast) sorta like Elijah to "Deceive The World" before your eyes, no guess work

Could be a matter of simple expediency in the face of multifaceted disaster. Same pattern as certain peoples in WWII. They had had their faiths ripped out from them -- the Holy Roman Empire was ripped away and shamed terribly in WWI -- and deceptions were easy, for a little while, for the greatest deceivers of the time. Even Henry Ford rode this to success in the US, through the Depression years.

Yes I can see what your saying there , but how does the average Joe get decieved by seeing fire coming down from heaven. I would think it would have to have meaning to him like it would the religious jews.

I wonder what the false prophet is telling people when he does this...

The word of God clearly states the false prophet calls fire down from heaven, and this deceives "them that dwell on the earth" (The World) its before our eyes and not to be questioned IMHO, take it as God's words clearly teaches it, simple and clear

If the whole world is deceived, I'm sure it will be a big televised event in a celebration to the false god/messiah

'if' ? Already as written in the apocalypse the whole world(religious, politic, medic, education,banking, social) is utterly deceived. It is directly written in Revelation around chapter 18 I think.

Yes deceives them that dwell on the earth. The first beast comes from the sea ( gentile nations ) and the second beast comes from the earth ( land of Israel ) , so he is only deceiving Israel with this fire and that makes plenty of sense because as I say , it means nothing to other people.

The timing of Revelation 13 is with 42 months left in the 7 years.

But because of the nature of the wonders by the false prophet of making fire come down from heaven (the sky) down to earth, gives us a hint that earlier before the 7 years begin that the person will (mistakenly) thought to be Elijah the prophet, by the Jews.

The Jews (Judaism) are expecting Elijah to come and be a part of ushering in the messianic age. They also believe that their messiah will be anointed by a "known" prophet to use their words. And as part of their Passover meal tradition, they set a place for Elijah.

Some people speculate that the Yanuka, Rav Shlomo Yehuda, could be the false prophet. There are several You Tube videos about the Yanuka. "Yanuka" just mean infant. And I think he got that tag that seems to have stuck with him, by the special way he was raised by his parents always keeping his head covered intending him to become a holy person. Which the Yanuka growing up memorized the Jewish bible, such that he impresses all the Jewish rabbi's with his commentary, and gather around in big numbers to hear him speak.

As far as the Antichrist person - not yet known - but I am keeping an eye on Zelensky of Ukraine, a Jew. A couple of expectations of the Jews (from Judaism 101 site) of the messiah is that (1) he be a great politician (2) have military capability, which would fit Zelensky.

Whether it is Zelensky, or someone else, the person's identity will be more known once he becomes head of a panel of ten EU leaders - before the Gog/Magog event takes place.

Once the Gog/Magog event takes place, it will be certain who the person is, as the Antichrist, because he will be anointed the King of Israel, thought to be messiah, by someone the Jews will think either is Elijah or embodies Elijah in some way.

Do not expect the Antichrist person appear to be an evil person when he first comes on the scene. But just the opposite, some who people will admire.

Perhaps I was not clear, when I wrote "I don't know about his ancestry descent." I was referring to that I don't know about Zelensky's ancestry decent.

I don't disagree with your post about the Jews' view that the messiah will be descended from King David.

I think the indicator that we can actually observe as to whether it is Zelensky or not is if he becomes leader over a panel of ten EU leaders.

I am intrigued by this as well, especially in the light of the current events, which may push Zelensky more towards EU leaders instead of looking at the US. What are your thoughts?

Hi lucy, welcome to the forum.

When the person who becomes the Antichrist, he will come from north and west of Israel, Daniel 8:9, with a strong army, into the middle east on the premise of being a peace keeper for the region following the Gog/Magog event of Ezekiel 39. That army will likely be that of the EU.

I agree with you that Zelensky will rely more on the EU. Ukraine is in the process of becoming one of the EU nation states. I don't know what the current status is, but that has been going on for a couple of years.

The EU certainly has the military capability to fulfill many of the end-times bible prophecies, especially during the last 42 months of the person's time - which during that time he will be the beast-king - dictator of the EU. Revelation 17:17.

The kingdom of the beast-king in Revelation 13:1-2 will be the EU. The EU will likely be allied with/and over the U.S. and Canada... so that the beast-king will be ultimately in charge.

We as Christians will be raptured out of the world before that last 42 months (of Revelation 13:5) takes place.

I think the problem with it being Zelensky is that he is not a very macho guy and has no charisma.
Hes just a comedian and entertainer. I just can't see anybody wanting to follow this clown unless things change dramatically.

That video was back when he was doing comedy. Here is another video made about Zelensky that portrays him differently... The video has messianic overtones.
