Voters don't always have an objective view of things, informed by history the way historians often do. Even so, why just under half of the voting public saw fit to vote someone convicted of fraud on multiple occasions into the presidency is something I can't quite fathom myself. But they did, and the nation will have to live with that decision for however long his term of office lasts, I guess.Think about that for a second, the majority of voters preferred the last ranking president over the very best the Democrats had
Gotta make you wonder what the voters saw that the historians did not.
I have no idea what future generations will think of the voters of today, though. But, then again, we could say the same for those voters who chose James Buchanan or Warren G. Harding.
