I'm interested to know how many Christians believe in an afterlife
I thought it would be interesting to spin-off from my thread
Here
My Grandmother was Christian and believed when we die we go to the grave until resurrection. I was taught this, but I've had too many experiences to accept this is 100% accurate. The Hebrew word Sheol has different meanings that was the result of changes over the centuries.
P.s. if you think I need to add another answer to the poll let me know. I put down the most relevant.

of course Christians believe there's an afterlife (after earthly life) .... but it don't take place until Jesus returns.
We are not inheritly immortal .... His word is clear immortality don't happen until He returns. Your grandmother was correct.
one can not rely on "experiences" ... we are to rely on His written word.
Paul sum's it up nicely here ....
1 Thessalonians 4
The Return of the Lord
13Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death,
c so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope.
14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
15By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep.
16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise.
17After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
18Therefore encourage one another with these words.
we are NOT immortal ....

1st Corinthians 15:54
King James Bible
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
This "idea" we have a disembodied "spirit" that goes to heaven (or anyplace else) is from the original lie of the devil.
Genesis 3:4
King James Bible
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
