Opinions about Pastor Jentezen Franklin of Free Chapel; Gainesville, Georgia

I just watched a half-hour sermon on Daystar cable TV channel from pastor Jentezen Franklin about the importance of communion; and he brought out a lot of good things; I didn't know about the Passover meal; and how the Israelite's started observing that from the time in Egypt; when the Egyptians first born were struck down by the Angel of the Lord.

This is the first I have heard of Pastor Franklin and was wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge about him; or has listened to him for years; enough to have an opinion about his preaching. Thanks for any input.

I don't know too much about him, but what I know I like. I've listened to a few sermons and have one of his books on fasting, which is good.

Thanks Paul; ya I liked the way he spoke; he didn't yell at his audience; like the one I'm watching now.

Everything I've heard from him sounds like a typical 'name it, claim it' Word of Faith message. I also read his book on fasting some years ago, when I wasn't acquainted with him or his other work yet, and all I really recall was that it was a bunch of fluff. I learned zero about biblical fasting and more about his opinions and stories concerning fasting. IMHO, don't waste your time.

He has several videos on YouTube, so you could listen to those to help you make up your own mind. Pray about it is my advice.

Thanks Hank; that I will do. I think sometimes; when you have asked the Lord Jesus to guide you to Him; no matter what; as I have; he can give you nuggets of knowledge from various sources. I say this; as I have went on Franklin's web site this morning; and I liked his steps of salvation plan; as it was built on Jesus; not our faith.

I love him, he is a wonderful teacher! I wish I would have seen that particular sermon as I am confused about the passover/pentecostal. We lost daystar here and he isn't on as much on TBN or at least when I watch it.
I must say though he talks to much on fasting for my taste along with Gregory Dickow who I like but talks to much on fasting also.
