After 23 years in prison as an innocent man, former White Sox groundskeeper returns to his old job

Nevest Coleman looked around the White Sox ballpark in wonder as he walked down the third base line.

Flanked by his colleagues, Harry Smith and Jerry Powe, Coleman marveled at how much the stadium had changed since 1994, when he last worked for the team. As he took in the sights, legendary head groundskeeper Roger “The Sodfather” Bossard came over and embraced Coleman in a quick hug.

Reading other articles about this case is especially disturbing. Bad cops, a judge who doesn't want to admit he was wrong, and two men, both of them innocent, losing so many years of their lives. It's disheartening and sickening.

I hope the court system reimbursed him for lost wages for 23 years, as well as all the legal and attorney fees he had to pay over the years, at the very least.
