What Does a Thug Look Like?

The word "thug" is defined as a violent criminal, yet I am told that you can tell that someone is a thug just by looking at them.

Forgive my ignorance, I don't know how that works. What are the physical characteristics of a "thug"?

If I murder someone, did I look like a "thug" before I committed the violent act?

Anyway, based on these physical characteristics, which of these men is a "thug"?

See, that's what I thought. But apparently I was wrong. From what I've been told, you can tell a "thug" just by their physical traits.

I'm not sure what traits these are, as the three fellows discussing them were afraid it was too off-topic, so I started this thread so they could inform the rest of us so we could tell what sort of people we should stay away from.

It sounded imperative that we stay away from people who look like "thugs".

In those old black and white movies, the bad guy was always described as having beady eyes. I don't know what those are, but you should watch out for those if you know what they are.

Plus also someone who looks like he's beating or shooting people, that might raise a red flag.

A thug is defined by actions, not his look. However, this forum is appropriate because there have been several posters who argue, "you know what a thug looks like." But when pressed, they try to walk away from the statement, but still claim there is a "thuggish" look.

B looks familiar (isn't he the guy from Norway that shot a bunch of people?), I think just plain terrorist would fit him better and A looks like some white collar criminal. Not sure if you'd call that a thug, lol.

As far as what I think a thug looks like. Depends, I guess many rap videos glorify the term. They seem to wear bandannas and saggy pants. Neo-nazis seem like thugs, and many of them like to get ripped and wear tattoos and sometimes shave their hair off.
