I don't remember where i read those words in the Bible but i did...

and my concordance is not veyr exhaustive


but anyway,

it seems wht this means is that those who sin... "abuse themselsve with mankind"

adulterers

fornicators

homosexuals

its just a big abuse fest with them...

i mean, you know... since sex outside of marriage is...

abuse.. hurt feelings, broken homes...

anyway, if you know where that psg is in the Bible, i would like to know...

i think i tried to google it and got nowhere..

this wording only appears in the KJV and only in this verse. This is one greek word ἀρσενοκοίτης (arsenokoites) This is some what of a controversial Greek word both in definition and origins that actually some think to be invented by Paul himself by combining the words "man" (arsen) and "bed" (koitai) Its biblical use only appears in one other area which is 1 Timothy 1:10 and of course another Pauline epistle. The word is more commonly translated as homosexual. Your definition seems to be closer not to the isolated word itself but instead the greater point of what Paul was getting at in 1 Corinthians 6:9.

Because the Bible was originally written in Greek, and sometimes it is not easy to find an exact word when you translate from one language to another.

With arseinokotes the thing is even trickier (lit. it means something like man-bed)

I believe that Paul gets the word from the Greek (Septuagint) version of Leviticus 20:13: καὶ ὃς ἂν κοιμηθῇ μετά ἄρσενος (arsenos) κοίτην (koitēn) γυναικός, βδέλυγμα ἐποίησαν ἀμφότεροι· θανάτῳ θανατούσθωσαν, ἔνοχοί εἰσιν = And whoever shall lie with a male as with a woman, they have both wrought abomination; let them die the death, they are guilty.

Is that an exact translation from the Greek? And what do you think that verse means? Should they die at the steak like witches, or should they not bother to repent and come to jesus because they are already lost? Lying is also an abomination i think, should liars die the death too?

i would tend to think the absolute first writings were in Aramaic or Hebrew
