When Christ receives us to himself,
above green pastures and mountain elm,
where snowbound peaks are specks, starlights,
the Bride, prepared, bejeweled, shall shine.
Her fervent hope, by Abba arranged,
shall be fulfilled when trumpets blaze,
and she is taken quicker than sight
makes comprehend she’s at his side!
Then God shall bid for her to sit
and drink the cup of Heaven’s bliss
at the great Supper of the Lamb,
her Groom admire, herself be glad.
