A short video that explains what the unforgivable sin is.
A short video that explains what the unforgivable sin is.
Yeah, all of us silly people attempting to not murder and steal and the like are such hypocrates.Rejecting the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin.
All other sins can be forgiven. All people who attempt
to follow the law are hypocrites.
The only sin you cannot be forgiven for is rejecting the Holy Spirit.
This is the one sin that leads to death.
Sure Judas remained unforgiven....because he remained unconvinced that Jesus was God....and his "buddy" was arrested and so he was sad. All the disciples were upset that Jesus was arrested.
The only sin you cannot be forgiven for is rejecting the Holy Spirit.
This is the one sin that leads to death.
Not everyone who is thrown in the lake of fire committed an unforgivable sin. They simply did not repent of their abomination / sin/ rebellion which could have been forgiven...Yeah, all of us silly people attempting to not murder and steal and the like are such hypocrates.
Cool. Not really related to what I was saying, but keep up the positive attitude! Not everyone who is thrown in the lake of fire committed an unforgivable sin. They simply did not repent of their abomination / sin/ rebellion which could have been forgiven...
"attempting to not murder" seemed to be close enough to "repenting of abominations" to bridge the gap ... repenting of murder , murder can be forgiven. Repenting of abominations, abominations can be forgiven. But not repenting - as written "without repentance is no forgiveness".... thus even a sin that is not the unforgivable sin, may not be forgiven, perhaps ever.Cool. Not really related to what I was saying, but keep up the positive attitude!
Yeah, still not what I meant. I'm good on my understanding of sin, repentance and forgiveness, thanks."attempting to not murder" seemed to be close enough to "repenting of abominations" to bridge the gap ... repenting of murder , murder can be forgiven. Repenting of abominations, abominations can be forgiven. But not repenting - as written "without repentance is no forgiveness".... thus even a sin that is not the unforgivable sin, may not be forgiven, perhaps ever.
We are not to assume anything, not to have or base out thinking or our lives on any assumptions.I don't think Jesus ever singled out individual persons in the Gospels for criticism. But he did criticize groups and behaviors. It seems plain to me that the unforgivable sin would be something he had been against when he was on the earth and not something we would deduce later based on our own assumptions.
Not giving thanks or praying continuously are also sins.Yeah, all of us silly people attempting to not murder and steal and the like are such hypocrates.
If they never repent then, are they ever forgiven? Those who know what is right and do not do that, are sinning.
You're kinda all over the place. Not giving thanks or praying continuously are also sins.
But those who don't know the laws are not hypocrites.
Those who know what is right and do not do that, are sinning.
You're kinda all over the place.
If you know the law and attempt to do it you are a hypocrite.
If you know the law and don't do it you are sinning.
So, it's a lose/lose situation. Sounds just like Jesus to me... er, wait... no it doesn't.
Now was my statement hypocritical or sinful? I can't keep track.
Not everyone who is thrown in the lake of fire committed an unforgivable sin. They simply did not repent of their abomination / sin/ rebellion which could have been forgiven...
OR, you are just wrong.Maybe I can get somebody else to clear up this hypocrisy thingy:
18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do. 20 And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Anyone who is a Christian, is a hypocrite.
Paul explains it better.OR, you are just wrong.
If they never repent then, are they ever forgiven?
Or do they have to pay the penalty for their sin, as written in Scripture ?
Paul continues to write more after that, you should check it out sometime. But be warned, it's encouraging and and empowering and stuff so you may not like it.Paul explains it better.
We don't do what we want to do and what we blahter to others
is right. We are hypocrites.
