1 Timothy 1:
5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart,
from a good conscience, and from sincere faith
,
6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk,
7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither
what they say nor the things which they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully,
9 knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person,
but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners,

for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers
and murderers of mothers, for man slayers,
10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers,
and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.

Romans 7:
4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ,
that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead,
that we should bear fruit to God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law
were at work
in our members to bear fruit to death.
6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by,
so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit
and not in the oldness of the letter.

One Law, with two passions aroused in opposition.
Delight in the inward man, sinful passions in the flesh.

24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

Romans 8:

3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh,
God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh,
on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us
who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

What shall we say then concerning the righteous requirements of the Law?
A sincere faith, a pure heart, and a clear conscience, of which much can be said.

Faith shouldn't be mocked, but Mr. Magoo's OP shouldn't go without reply. I'll pitch in 2 Corinthians 12:9 ... “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”

Full Comment in context is within the link this post refers to.

Galatians 6:
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption,
but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season
we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those
who are of the household of faith.

Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath?
John 5:
16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him,
because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”

Yes, and a pure heart and clear conscience comes as we overcome sin and do God's will by the power of the Spirit (Rom 8:12-14), as we come to love, to put it another way (Rom 5:5). This is because only love can fulfill the law. Love is the righteousness that the law and prophets could only testify to but could never deliver. Only God can justify man; only God can cause us to love as He does, to the extent possible, as we turn to and enter fellowship with Him by faith.

1 Peter 2:
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Philippians 1:
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more
in knowledge and all discernment,
10 that you may approve the things that are excellent,
that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which by Jesus Christ,
are to the glory and praise of God.

You might be the only person I've ever typed this to, but we need to be led more deeply into the fruit of the Spirit by the wonderful use of scripture that you have been blessed with. It was difficult for me to discern your intended use of scripture, with just the scripture highlighted, but now... I am certain that you are a major blessing.

All Love to you in the Name of our Precious Lord, God and Savior!

Flesh does not reveal this to you...
I only met Jesus when I was overcome by Sin, Pain, Misery and Circumstance.... because that's what it took for me to prostrate my Soul before Him, Repent from my Heart.... and Surrender. Reading Scripture has never been the same. 1 John 2:27 is True and no Lie. :heart: :amen:

I expanded on 'a sincere faith'. Would you care to do 'a pure heart' or 'a clear conscience'?
Indeed! Pure Heart….

Psalm 51:
1 Be gracious to me, God,
according to Your faithful love;
according to Your abundant compassion,

blot out my rebellion.
2 Wash away my guilt
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I am conscious of my rebellion,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against You—You alone—I have sinned
and done this evil in Your sight.

So You are right when You pass sentence;
You are blameless when You judge.
5 Indeed, I was guilty when I was born;
I was sinful when my mother conceived me.
6 Surely You desire integrity in the inner self,
and You teach me wisdom deep within.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones You have crushed rejoice.
9 Turn Your face away[a] from my sins
and blot out all my guilt.
10 God, create a clean heart for me
and renew a steadfast[b] spirit within me.
11 Do not banish me from Your presence
or take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore the joy of Your salvation to me,
and give me a willing spirit.[c]
13 Then I will teach the rebellious Your ways,
and sinners will return to You.
14 Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God,
the God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing of Your righteousness.
15 Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare Your praise.

16 You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it;
You are not pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifice pleasing to God is[d] a broken spirit.
God, You will not despise a broken and humbled heart.

18 In Your good pleasure, cause Zion to prosper;
build[e] the walls of Jerusalem.

That doesn't say that the Law of sin and the Law of God that convicts us of sin are the same.

That is not an answer to the question.
Which law have we become dead to through the body of Christ?
The Law of sin or the Law of God

That is correct neither does what you present say the the law of sin and the law of God are the same. So you can play games if you wish. I am not here for that. Show what you said was true within the text of Romans 7. Present your case. I am not interested in rabbit holes or red herrings.
