Both of those things are in fact opposing homosexuality. They can be specified on in the debate...

Opposing homosexuality itself implies removing it from people (a cure) but is it any more curable than any temptation to sin.... That's why I think it better to debate society's stance to it.

How so exactly? I don't see how at all. Opposing something doesn't imply there is a cure. There is no correlation there. There may be a "cure" for thievery, you can be rehabilitated or you're a habitual thief.

I don't think homosexuality is a disease or anything to be considered there a "cure" for. As noted above, depending on the individual and circumstances he may be rehabilitated from stealing. It's not the same in that sense. The debate would be from society's stance. What other stance could there be taken, and what does that really even mean?
