Hi lollykh,

Thank you for asking. Christians far and wide need to hear the answers to this very important question.

Yahshua was commissioned for none but Israel.

(CLV) Mt 15:24
Now He, answering, said, "I was not commissioned except for the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Ephesians 2

11 Wherefore, remember that once you, the nations (Gentiles) in flesh - who are termed 'Uncircumcision' by those termed 'Circumcision,' in flesh, made by hands -"

Not anymore!

12 that you were, in that era, apart from Christ, being alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and guests of the promise covenants, having no expectation, and without God in the world."

Not anymore! Hmmm...covenants, plural.

13 Yet now, in Christ Jesus, you, who once are far off, are become near by the blood of Christ."

Citizens of Israel.

(CLV) Hb 8:10
"For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days," the Lord is saying: "Imparting My laws to their comprehension, On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, And they shall be to Me for a people.

YHWH's renewed covenant is with Israel alone. Those who are in Messiah are in (ישראל) Yashar Al.

14 For He is our Peace, Who makes both one, and razes the central wall of the barrier"

No difference between those who were born into the false dogma of Judaism, and those who were born into the false teaching of Paganism. All of those in Yahshua are in the truth of YHWH's perfect Torah.

15 (the enmity in His flesh), nullifying the law of precepts in decrees, (dogma, Talmud) that He should be creating the two, in Himself, into one new humanity, making peace;"

Israel!

(CLV) Num 15:15
As for the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the sojourner sojourning with you. It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations. Like you so shall the sojourner be before Yahweh.

(CLV) Num 15:16
One law and one custom, it shall come to be for you and for the sojourner sojourning with you.

This one was instituted right after YHWH declared passover and unleavened bread:

(CLV) Ex 12:49
One law shall there be for both the native and for the sojourner sojourning in your midst.

(CLV) Lv 24:22
The same judgment shall you come to have; for the sojourner as well as the native shall it be: for I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

(CLV) Num 15:29
For the native among the sons of Israel and for the sojourner sojourning in their midst, one law shall apply for you, to anyone doing it through inadvertence.

(CLV) Lv 19:34
As a native among you shall the sojourner sojourning with you come to be to you, and you will love him as yourself, for sojourners were you in the land of Egypt: I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

(CLV) Lv 16:29
It will come to be for you as an eonian statute: In the seventh month on the tenth of the month you shall humble your souls, and no work at all shall you do, the native or the sojourner sojourning in your midst.

SCRIPTURE FOR THE SEVEN MOEDIM (FEASTS) OF YAHWEH

The Moedim (feasts) are rehearsals, and are appointments with Yahweh.

Leviticus 23:1-44 NKJV

1. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2. "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:
'The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations,
these are My feasts.
3. 'Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
4. 'These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.

1.) PESACH (PASSOVER)

5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord's Passover.

“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to Yahweh throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance FOREVER.” (Exodus 12:14)

Fulfilled

CHAG HAMATZOT (UNLEAVENED BREAD)

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
7. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.
8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh
day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.' "
9. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

“And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance FOREVER.” (Exodus 12:17)

Fulfilled

3. BIKKURIM (THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS)

10. "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest.
11. He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
12. And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the Lord.
13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord, for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin.
14 You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute FOREVER throughout your generations in all your dwellings

Fulfilled

4.) SHAVUOT (FEAST OF WEEKS/PENTECOST)

15. 'And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
17. You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord.
18. And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs of the first year, without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be as a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to the Lord.
19. Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the first year as a sacrifice of a peace offering.
20. The priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.
21. And you shall proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a statute FOREVER in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 'When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God

Fulfilled

5.) YOM TERUAH (ROSH HASHANAH/FEAST OF TRUMPETS)

23. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
24. "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.' "

Numbers 10:8-9
8 The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance FOREVER throughout your generations.

Not Fulfilled

6.) YOM KIPPUR (DAY OF ATONEMENT)

26 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
27 "Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.
28 And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God.
29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people. 30 And any person who does any work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.
31 You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute FOREVER throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

32 It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath."

Not Fulfilled

SUKKOT (FEAST OF TABERNACLES)

33. Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
34. "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.
35 On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it.
36 For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.
37 These are the feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day
38 besides the Sabbaths of the Lord, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the Lord.
39 'Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.
40 And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.
41 You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute FOREVER in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

42 You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,
43 that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.' "
44 So Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

Not Fulfilled

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Numerous New Testament examples show where people were intending to keep the Feasts, were keeping them, and would keep them again the in Kingdom. Those passages include: Luke 2:42; John 5:1; 7:2, 10, 14; 12:20; Matthew 26:2, 17, 29; Acts 18:21; and 1Corinthians 5:8.

Yahshua himself kept the feasts as he calls us to follow his example.

What do you suppose we are to learn from these rehearsals? I believe that we would do well to start with what these moedim represented in the time of Moses, in order to understand the transposition of these moedim to our relationship with Yahshua.

I believe that they all point to the wedding of the bride of Yahshua.

Teach the Gentiles to obey all of the Torah.

This is our calling from Yahshua himself, right before he ascended.

Matthew 28:19-20

Complete Jewish Bible

19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations (Gentiles) into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”

If one does not live in Jewish or Messianic Jewish communities, it will be more difficult to observe these festivals.
May Messiah bless you and protect you and yours always!

Regarding the underlined parts, are you saying Christians need to do these things at the Feast of Firstfruits? And there is no priest at the moment.
The same question applies to other festivals concerning similar instructions.

Which covenants?
Pleases forgive me for not responding sooner, as I have been dealing with family matters. As promised, I will answer to the best of my abilities. And in this case, I think it best that I prepare you with some information about the nature of a covenant within the Hebraic context.

The Hebrew root word “saba” (Strong’s #7646), is defined as meaning fullness, wholeness, abundance, and completeness. Two other Hebrew words derived from saba are, 1) “shaba” (Strong’s #7650), which means swearing an oath, and 2) “sheba” (Strong’s #7651), which is the Hebrew word for “seven”. These three words are spelled exactly the same. They are spelled, shin, bet, eyin.

Here is an illustration of the letters associated with Hebrew from the Ancient Hebrew Research Center, and from one source interpretation of what these letters infer and how they evolved over time.
alphabetchart.gif

So the word for 'seven' is spelled the same way as the word for 'completeness' or 'wholeness' and the word for 'oath' or 'promise'. Before the Masorets added vowel points to Hebrew letters to indicate pronunciation (and therefore definitions) about a thousand years ago, the definitions of a word were determined by the reader according to the context of the word usage. Many times, a Hebrew word could have multiple definitions at the same time!

So, the number seven, when used in scripture often means “completeness or wholeness” and carries the meaning of a “sworn oath“ that is manifested or revealed in seven stages. For example, Creation is a Covenant of Life. It is one whole event that is predicated on the Word of God that was revealed in scripture in 'seven' stages and in this case presented as seven days.

See what I mean? A covenant is much more than just a promise. It is an entire system of interrelationships based on many promises, rules and manifestations of fulfilments in both the earthly and spiritual realms.

Think about this. Our Father in Heaven made covenants with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Israel, David, Moses and His own Son - Yeshua, - to ultimately include YOU. You make the seventh stage of His promise that you could be brought into His Kingdom and share in His Great Reward and His Sabbath Rest!

You may wish to visit Matrix of Sevens, another thread that explores some of the relationships I suggested above. I know this is a lot to take in, but I have faith you will catch on quickly.

Be Well and Be Blessed,

Which covenants?
The promise covenants.

What is Yashar AI?
A fair translation of Yahar would be righteous.

Lets define righteous.

Definition of righteous

1 : acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin

Al (Modern Hebrew corruption (El)) is often translated as God.

Let's examine this word, down to the Ancient Hebrew otiot.

The word begins with an Aleph, and ends with a Lamed.

The Aleph depicts an ox head. It can be interpreted as strength or headship. The Lamed depicts a shepherd's staff. It can be interpreted as being lead by the shepherd, or being yoked to the Master.

Our Al is the headship that we are yoked to. I am yoked to the headship of righteousness.
What does ''eonian'' mean?
Forever

Yahshua is our High Priest; but YHWH's covenant with all of his Priests is eternal.

(CLV) Jer 33:20
Thus says Yahweh: If you could annul My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night so that daytime and night fail to come about in their proper time,

(CLV) Jer 33:21
then also My covenant could be annulled with David My servant, so that he should not come to have a son reigning on his throne, and that with the Levites, the priests, My ministers.

Do Christians need to a blow a trumpet during this festival?
(CLV) Num 15:15
As for the assembly (church), there shall be one statute for you and for the sojourner sojourning with you. It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations. Like you so shall the sojourner be before Yahweh.
(CLV) Num 15:16
One law and one custom, it shall come to be for you and for the sojourner sojourning with you.

Being adopted through Messiah (that's the Hebrew just like 'Christ' is the Greek), you are adopted into the covenants of promise and into a nation of priests and kings! So yes, we are to keep the moedim (appointed times) as a remembrance of past events and that also speak of the ministry of Messiah and of even greater things to come! Remember, covenant events are not 'one and done', but are revealed not only in sevens, but in sevens of sevens and more.

The vast difference between the ancient Hebraic context of His Word and the 'Western' way of thinking is stunning, when you start to realize what has happened to His message - based on this catastrophic clash of cultures and philosophies. These are 'forever' concepts, not singular events we are reading about and discussing here. You are going to have to do a little stretching of your mind to get past the constraints of the dogma (read: traditions) that are man's interpretations of the supernatural world of Our Father in Heaven. Both He and His plans for us are much bigger than that.

Blessings,
