Continued from: YHWH's Table (Part 12)

In the last portion of this study, we continued to work through Leviticus 23, which outlines YHWH's eternal appointed times. We left off with Yom Kippurim., which brings us to Sukkot.

This is the last Moed mentioned in Leviticus 23. However, I will create one more portion in this study to conclude our track on Leviticus 23.

I have included all of the verses from the Torah, that to my knowledge, might be relevant to this study, at this phase of this study. As I get deeper into this study; I'm beginning to realize that there are many unexplored facets, that shouldn't be ignored.

(CLV) Lv 23:33

You will bring near (קָרַב) (Qarab) an ascent (עלה) (Olah) offering, a fire (אשה) (Asheh) offering of fragrant odor to Yahweh: one young bull, one ram, seven flawless year-old he-lambs,

(קָרַב) (Qarab) This is the root of Offering קרבן (Korban) It means to come near, approach.

This spurred me to take a closer look at (Approach מנחה (Mincha)).

מנחה (Mincha) simply means gift. These translators don't make it easy to get to the truth. Now I need to go back and make edits to this entire series.

Fire אשה (Asheh)

This Ascent appears to specifically be a Fire Ascent. Later in this series I will work toward what we are to gain in understanding from these different aspects of these rehearsals (Moedim).

(CLV) Num 29:37
their approach present (מנחה) (Mincha) and their libations for the young bull, for the ram and for the he-lambs by their number as is the custom,

Gift מנחה (Mincha)

(CLV) Num 29:38

Ascent עלה (Olah)
Gift מנחה (Mincha)

On the 8th day:

No mention of flour
1 bull
1 rams
7 he lambs
1 hairy goat
Libation (pouring)

.

(CLV) Num 29:39
These shall you offer (עש) (As) to Yahweh at your appointed times aside from your vows (נדר) (Neder) and your voluntary (נדבה) (Nedabah) offerings for your ascent (עלה) (Olah) offerings, for your approach presents (מנחה) (Mincha) , for your libations and for your peace (שלמים) (Shalomim) offerings.

Do (עש) (As)
Vow (נדר) (Neder)
Voluntary נדבה (Nedabah)
Ascent עלה (Olah)
Gift מנחה (Mincha)
Peace שלמים (Shalomim)

(CLV) Dt 16:13
As for the festival of booths, you shall observe it for yourself seven days when you gather in the yield from your threshing site and from your winevat.

(CLV) Dt 16:14
You will rejoice in your festival, you, your son and your daughter, your manservant and your maidservant, the Levite, the sojourner, the orphan and the widow who are within your gates.

(CLV) Dt 16:15
Seven days shall you celebrate to Yahweh your Elohim in the place that Yahweh your Elohim shall choose, for Yahweh your Elohim shall bless you in all your yield and in every work of your hands, so that you will indeed be rejoicing.

(CLV) Dt 16:16
Three times in the year all your males shall appear before Yahweh your Elohim in the place that He shall choose: at the festival of unleavened bread, at the festival of weeks and at the festival of booths. And none shall appear before Yahweh empty-handed,

(CLV) Dt 16:17
but each according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of Yahweh your Elohim which He will give to you.

In this chapter we see the hairy goat being brought for sin.

On the first day bread is brought forth.

Why is it not mentioned in the days following?

The bulls are diminished by one per day, until the eight day.

Why?

On the eight day the bulls are reduced to one. The rams are reduced from two to one.
The lambs are reduced from fourteen to seven.

Why?

What is YHWH trying to teach us with these aspects of this Moed (rehearsal)?

Shabbat Shalom
