What makes you think that Putin respects women? His past behavior demonstrates rather clearly he doesn't. I don't think this is a good idea because women are by nature too compassionate and being an ambassador often means you're confronted with very hard decisions where some people are sacrificed for the greater good. This is done all the time in war. You always have to look at the bigger picture. Yet in reading comments on world situations, I notice, time and time again, women usually take the short term, compassionate reaction. Immoral people use this to their advantage to distort the media/news. The conflict in Gaza is a perfect example of this where Hamas has blocked people from moving from the north to south after Israel warned them to move to avoid casualties. Yet you almost never hear of this in the news. Muslims know this will pull at the heartstrings of people all over the world (especially women) when children die (they don't realize that Gaza has one of the highest concentrations of children in the world). Also many of these people obviously were supporting those underground firing rockets so they felt allegiance to them and didn't move their children south to save them knowing full well that if you send a rocket from location A there will be return fire to location A. It's pretty basic. By staying they killed their own children. But in their twisted view their children are martyred. Though I sure don't know how 72 virgins reward children (or women!). Islam is so illogical. It was obviously conceived by a social outcast who hated Jews and so made up a religion to get what we wanted. What this conflict really does is separate those who generally support Israel's right to exist and those that don't. Now here's the irony: Many liberals who are gay support "Palestine", the non-existent country, not realizing that being gay in a Muslim world can lead to decapitation. Also, they wouldn't be allowed to protest anything against Islam in most any Muslim country! It's so incredibly hypocritical. They truly are looking at the world with blinders on.
