A video by Roger Waters about his recent remake of Dark Side of the Moon that went on sale last Friday. It is called

Track by Track - The Dark Side Of The Moon Redux, Roger Waters

but due to the odd word within I can't post it here.

The Essential Sly and the Family Stone.
He was a musical genius whose flesh was too weak to survive his genius unscathed.
Even today his recent lyrics speak from another source.
Alive but not for long.
He cannot record but the poetry lives...

Give the kid a flag, it teaches you to salute
Give the kid a gun, you teach him how to shoot
One day the kids in the bushes, he starts to cry
Because never ever nobody, taught him how to die
He's in the bushes, there's no more blood to give
Said his odds say that he's dying
But his God said he would live

Somethin' filled up
My heart with nothin'
Someone told me not to cry

Now that I'm older
My heart's colder
And I can see that it's a lie

Children, wake up
Hold your mistake up
Before they turn the summer into dust

If the children don't grow up
Our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up
We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms
Turnin' every good thing to rust
I guess we'll just have to adjust

With my lightnin' bolts a-glowin
I can see where I am goin' to be
When the reaper he reaches and touches my hand

With my lightnin' bolts a-glowin'
I can see where I am goin'
With my lightnin' bolts a-glowin'
I can see where I am go, goin'
You better look out below

I am not one to listen to rap music being from the older generation of 60's and 70's music. I do like most forms of music but I have recently come across Tom MacDonald which I would imagine most people know from his number 1 song Facts. But I got listening to some of his other songs and I think they are pretty good.

I probably would not have listened to him if not for seeing his songs on Christian or conservative podcasts. But I think its more his content though the music is entertaining as well. It seems very relevant for todays society and he manages to slip in some Christian messages as well. His No 1 song is more rapping and political.

But I like the message in his song 'End of the World'. Its a bit tongue in cheek like most of his songs and it looks like he has teamed up with a Ben Shapiro lookalike a country singer named John Rich who is pretty good as well. Talk about cheese and chalk. Tom seems to pick polar opposite duo partners which I guess makes it fun and entertaining.

Oh yeah I forgot here Facts as well in case you have not heard it. Just seeing Shapiro rap is worth it lol.

While I'm on a roll here is a group I have been following for a few years. Its actually one guy I think Josh Turner who seems to form collaborations with many different musicians and they are all average people and not pop stars. I think they do some live stuff here and there. Josh partners up with Carson McKee a lot and they have some good songs. Mostly covers but they have a few of their own as well. They also team up with Reina del Cid and Toni Lindgren who are a talented duo themselves.

And heres one of their own songs. Theres a bit of mucking around to begin with but the song starts at 40 sec mark.

My daughter and I play guitar and do some singing just for fun but we like these random singers and groups who are appearing on YouTube and other platforms making it easy for people to show their talents from their home studios. There is certainly some talent out there coming out of the woodwork.

Here is another group we discovered who I don't think are that commercially famous but still have a good following called Walk off the Earth which is a weird name in itself. But we like their acustic sound with strange instruments and a cool rockin and jazzy sound. They all seem to have good voices and they harmonise great.
