How are you supposed to tell just from looking at the attendance at a rally?
When I go to an Iron Maiden concert, it is amazing, thousands of Iron Maiden fans all around you, singing, laughing, having fun. Very hard to find anyone that is not an Iron Maiden fan, but then you go away from the concert venue and into the city and it is hard to find any Maiden fans.

Do you see how that works? Certain people flock to a specific location because something is there that interests them. They aren't a representation of the area, that spot gets overwhelmed with that certain type of person.

Anyway, most people that vote for a president, don't actually go to political rallies.
Iron Maiden? Aren’t they in their late 60’s and 70’s now?

Perhaps it is hard to find Iton Maiden fans because they really have not been popular for two decades or more. Are they still alive?

But thanks for your opinion.

It's easy to find them. They come in their thousands, 10's of thousands when IM are in town for a concert.
They are old, not as old as Trump and Biden, but not spring chickens any more.
But they are still winning over new fans. Still producing amazing albums and putting on fantastic and energetic concerts around the world, still selling out stadiums.

But what my point is, is that, just because you have heaps of Trump fans congregating at a Trump rally, it doesn't mean that most voters want Trump as their president. In fact, there has never been any point in USA history that most voters have wanted D Trump.
Hillary got millions more votes than D Trump and Biden got many more millions than Trump.

Sure D Trump has more people than Biden that are wanting to go to political rallies. It does not mean that D Trump will get more votes, it just means he has more people wanting to go to rallies, and those people are a vast minority of voters.

Do you think it will flip?
I'm sure the gathering of Trump followers will mean as much to the election results as similar gatherings did in 2020. Minus the followers dying from covid after attending such gatherings, one would hope.

Bruce Dickinson is 12 years younger than Trump.

Perhaps it is hard to find Iton Maiden fans because they really have not been popular for two decades or more.

They're drawing crowds as big as Trump. In South American, they draw crowds quite a bit larger.

Sure - I don't think those were not dumb enough to not vote for Trump deserve a man who is antithetical to the American Dream; we should not have to suffer high inflation, should not have to accept lifestyles we do not agree with, suffer the 12,000,000 unregistered, illegal aliens, should not have to bury children who are killed by people who should have never been here to begin with, should not have to bury 13 because of a botched withdrawal that his generals said don't do - we should not have to abandon our greatest ally in the Middle East to appease a group of professional protestors.

pshew! That's all I can think of off the top of my head - is that negative enough for your liking?
Then elect Trump by all means. You will really, truly deserve what he does for us.

I will give you credit for completely and most spectacularly missing the whole entire point that was being made.

Ignoring that it’s not hard to find Iron Maiden fans, what he’s saying is that when an event draws people with a common interest to a singular place, you are not getting a representative cross-section of demographic stances. You’re getting a cultivated slice of targeted individuals, many of whom are likely not even from that area, which is temporary and artificial.

So this rally is simply a reflection of people with a common interest and available free time collectively showing up to a place they were told to in order to pursue said common interest.

The chancez are well under 1%.

There are many states where Trump rallies might actually help his cause and election chances. Certainly, PA, MI and WI.

Regarding Iron Maiden's ability to draw a crowd, here's a photo from their most recent performance in Tulsa, OK (where the OP lives), which was on 9/15/22 at the BOK Center:

Not a sold out crowd - the upper balcony has plenty of space, but the floor and lower tiers are full.

Contrast that with Trump's most recent rally in Tulsa, on 6/20/20:

Coincidentally, that rally was notorious for both its low turnout and for being the event at which Herman Cain likely contracted his fatal case of COVID.

To be fair, Wildwood is pretty close to PA (about 3 hours from me in the middle of the state), so I wouldn't be surprised if a significant percentage of the crowd was made up of Pennsylvanians.

You just proved the other poster’s point just now…

And there were a confirmed 2,000 people there. It was a limited, invite-only engagement.
