Hi @Heartofsilver Oh I'm a tea person; it's okay as long as it's hot and wet...I'm having a green tea tisane right now. What's in your cuppa?
I used to drink a lot of coffee but am glad to have ditched it in favour of tea...I wondered, because I heard the need for having that much water by itself is generally overstated. It would be the case when sweaty and not having things being eaten that are juicy foods. But when at rest and not sweating, and with having juicy foods, it is not necessary to have the same amount of water separately as it would be otherwise. Tea would hydrate, as would soups, wet cereal, and fruits. Maybe the doctor in this case knew about a distinct issue to have more water separately, though.
It was a transition for me when I began to use green tea instead, I still missed coffee, and others were still drinking coffee, which I saw. But I stuck with it, flavoring it up as I do, and I like it more without missing coffee as much.
I just tried the tea now with using nutmeg in it, for my well-being, it was only a tiny amount, less than other flavoring I used, but I could still definitely taste it. It is alright, but I think I will get oatmeal, and maybe other things, to use nutmeg in those instead. The other flavorings will still be in my green tea, and I will get benefits from those.
Hoping you are doing well now.been drinking decaf green tea & decaf coffee
last October, wasn't feeling well @ ended up in ER
they said I was dehydrated & had me on IV while there
now making an effort to drink plain water
& not just decaf tea/coffee
