Sola Scriptura is the Spirit teaching scripture. Sola Scriptura is God breathed not man made. It has nothing to do with Abraham who was used as a old testament apostle.

It is like water and seed. The Spirit brings to memory, things He has told you.

I can agree that some but not all Christians having Sola Scriptura also have the Spirit of Truth to teach them. Abraham did not have more than an oral tradition and God spoke to him.

Scripture has limits, with Sola Scriptura some attempt to prove right or wrong, the gift of tongues. It cannot be done. Eventually one needs to get out of the boat of Sola Scriptura and be led by the Spirit, receive grace. The Bible and Gospels are a summary and many details are missing. A problem for cessationists who think the Bible is a complete book, which fully equips the believer... Paul's first letter to the Corinthians and letter to the Laodiceans are missing...

Sola Scriptura is the work of the Holy Spirit.

Sola Scriptura the bible (all things written in the law and the prophets) is the media as it is written used by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, to teach mankind.

We do not know Christ after the oral traditions (I heard it through the grape vine of men) . Abraham received prophecy when God was still adding to His book of prophecy also called the book of the law. It informed him of the will of God that worked in Abraham as it works in us today to both will and empower us to hear and do what the Spirit is saying to the churches (denominations).

The gifts have not ceased they remains unseen "spiritual gifts" . No such thing as a "sign gift" (Look I did it it proves, I have eternal life. ) or what is called Charismatic.

That can be seen by rightly dividing all things written in the law and prophets. Therefore we can search out the hidden gospel the understanding of the Holy Spirit mixed parables .

Jesus says its and evil generation (non redeemed) that does that does seek after signs .No signs to wonder after were given. We understand by the unseen eternal and not after what the eyes see the temporal

Paul wrote three letters to the Corinthians and one to the Laodiceans he instructs others of that time to read. There must be a fair bit of teaching and letters from Jesus apostles... Andrew, Mary, and Junias, Timothy, Apollos... that are not on record and also the phenomena of the Holy Spirit.

Like Abraham the apostles heard from God and some of the early fathers. The Popes say they still have this power. Sola Scriptura was defined to reject this claim. Not through the magisterium but by scripture alone.

Paul in scripture teaches that the anointing teaches authoritatively and teaches us to desire and use spiritual gifts, like prophecy...

Scripture emphasizes love, and that it is received by faith, Romans 5:5.

And Jesus' sacred blood makes our hearts clean, and we receive by faith.

Jesus gave the sign of Jonah.

The gift of tongues can be used as a sign of a person's new birth.

I have studied to find that the Northern Kingdom and the ten tribes were lost by being taken into captivity and intermarried with five races of gentiles. And that this was unacceptable and on return to Israel they were called Samaritans. Many of them did not return. The Samaritan woman at the well in the Gospel had "five husbands". What makes a gentile race unacceptable for Hebrews to marry into? Are Greeks and other Europeans like that? Are any of the Jews today Samaritans?

Each Jewish Family kept tract of what tribe they belonged to. Just because the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD does not mean who belonged where was lost.

It is no longer possible, yes since the fire, to prove who is from the tribe of Judah. But they have traditions and traditional names... And at the end of the day God knows who the 144,000 men will be, selected and protected. And hopefully they will have wives and families after the rapture and judgment.

So the Messiah from the tribe of Judah, has already come, Yeshua.

God's way is best, His choice and creation, not competition. Satan attacks Israel more and it is unfair. God's choice not man's, I like that. That God persists with His choice and doesn't bow to human thinking and pick who we think should be... The one's who seem to be the best choices are likely not Satan's main line of attack. We can't see the hidden world of angels and demons.

It does not mean that they are always right and make the best just judgments though. Moses did. Thou shalt not kill, the unborn babies... Pro life is right.
