Zech. talks about a day when God would pour out His spirit of grace & supplications. He says in that day that the most feeble amoung then would be as David. In the New Testament, Jesus talks about how there was no one greater then John the Baptist. Yet, the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than him.
Does it ever occur to us, that we have the Holy Spirit of Grace upon us, and that we are to go beyond them that gave us our Bible. At least we are to go beyond those who gave us our old testament. In the very least, those who are the most feeble among us, should be as David was.
