If dreams were just our imagination all dreams would always be whatever we wanted.

Anyone who suffers from a serious phobia could tell you this is nonsense. The imagination can, and does, conjour up fears far worse than reality.

I have noticed too many similarites in these NDEs around the world to say it is just dreams or hallucinations. Different religions, different cultures, having remarkably similar experiences.

It can't be just a coincidence.

It isn't coincidence. The similarities are based upon the similar neurological structures of the human brain, regardless of culture or religion, and the near identical physical circumstances in which NDEs occur. But full kudos to you for the flawless expression of misplaced imagination.
