Real Church needed in Iowa....

There are 17 churches in my small Iowa city, but none of them is functioning scripturally. Ego needs of the people is where the focus is. Pastors are interested in fun programs, feel good lessons and bending over backwards to make visitors feel comfotable. It makes me sick.

The Glory of God, the sinfulness and depravity of man are never mentioned. It's as if they are afraid to mention it. Everybody looks and acts very religious. How nice. Problem is the people IN THE CHURCH are headed for hell and don't even know it.

I pray for a pastor who loves God more than anything and loves teaching the people about God will come here and do what a pastor is supposed to do.

Were in Iowa are you living? If I may ask. I am from, and still live in Iowa and have seen a small revival in my church and other churches in my assosiation.

You don't live in Dallas County do you?

It sounds a bit like where I live. I live in a small town that might have more churches than yours. I think we hav 20-22 congregations.

Specially down 3rd St. I never realized that til you brought it up. They were just always there.
