2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

What’s given to us in Christ Jesus are all the promises to live by: power, love, renewed mind, walking in His Spirit, defeat of our enemies (Romans 16:20 KJV), etc.

There are many people today using the Psalms of David as prayers. But it is being revealed to me that those prayers in Psalms are David’s prayers, prayed from his heart. Another man’s prayer do not belong to us.

However we are to read the Psalms, and be strengthened by them, because the troubles David suffered, we also suffer, and that is where our strength is: knowing God loved David, and heard him, so we identify that same suffering, knowing we will also receive the blessings of deliverance. So we thank God for blessings pertaining to our own circumstances, the way David thanked and praised God!

Although King David suffered, God finally avenged him - He destroyed his enemies and blessed him.

So, this is where we as Christians are in Jesus. The suffering expressed in the Psalms was for a time. And yes we suffer for a time. But in our suffering in Christ, today, we are not to see it the way David saw it, nor are we to pray in the manner David prayed about his suffering. The reason is, God defeated David’s enemies already, and that defeat represents Christ. So we pray the way David prayed by praising and thanking God for His blessings and protection. This is not to learn a particular Psalm to recite as a prayer. We say our own prayer from our own heart.

So, in Christ, if our enemies are already defeated, (For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen), we thank God for deliverance. We don’t ask God to remove what He has already removed. This is where faith comes in - “substance of things hoped for” - “evidence of things unseen”

Substance means:
the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence.

Evidence means: something that furnishes proof

We have a hard time seeing that it is already done, because we focus too much on the issue at hand. But we are not to look at those things seen, but those things unseen, 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV. This is a form of faith!

Before it is manifested, we must believe first.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him, “Hebrews 11:6 KJV.

Good presentation.
In one of the psalms we can see the methodology of praying and psalming to the Lord:

Psalms 45:1 KJV
1. To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil,
A Song of loves. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things
which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
