Kim Jong Un Threatens North Korea's Enemies With 'Death Blow'

A bullish Kim Jong Un toured North Korea's top military institute on Wednesday and reaffirmed his goal of creating the "world's strongest army," state media said, amid sky high tensions with the United States and its allies.

Kim, 40, visited Kim Jong Il University of Military and Politics—named for his father—for the first time since it opened a decade ago, urging cadets at the elite academy to perfect the art of winning wars, the official Korean Central News Agency reported on Thursday.

North Korea's strongman leader described the global environment as one of "ever-escalating violence and armed conflicts," and the regional situation around his country as "insecure and unstable," the KCNA said.

"[N]ow is the time to be more thoroughly prepared for a war than ever before," Kim was quoted as saying, adding that "the [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] should be more firmly and perfectly prepared for a war."

If North Korea's enemy "opts for military confrontation," Kim reportedly said, without naming any country, "the DPRK will deal a death blow to the enemy without hesitation by mobilizing all means in its possession.

The KCNA report was published a day after South Korea held its general election, in which the main opposition Democratic Party won a landslide parliamentary majority over the conservative People Power Party of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Seoul accused Pyongyang of interfering in the vote with "provocations."

KCNA photographs of Kim's university tour showed him inspecting a raised-relief map of Seoul and aerial images of air bases used by American and South Korean forces.

He has discussed military plans in front of maps of South Korea on seven occasions in the last two years, according to the specialist website NK News.

In the past few weeks, Kim has been photographed personally leading tank, artillery and paratrooper drills—all described by state media as defensive measures against the U.S.-South Korea alliance.

Kim also has kept up a steady streak of ballistic missile tests, largely ignoring the long list of U.N. Security Council sanctions levied on his government in the past decade.

Long-time observers say Kim is likely to continue as the United States heads into its own presidential election this fall, with a view to extracting concessions for his troubled economy.

Washington has accused Moscow and Beijing of offering Pyongyang political cover by vetoing further punitive measures at the Security Council. In addition, Russia is alleged to have received North Korean weapons for use in Ukraine in exchange for assisting in Kim's burgeoning military satellite program.

Both North Korea and Russia have repeatedly denied trading arms, which would be a further violation of U.N. sanctions.

Kim may be on a war footing, analysts say, but he is not short of friends.

Zhao Leji, the Chinese Communist Party's No. 3 official, was scheduled to arrive in Pyongyang on Thursday for a three-day visit to mark "China-DPRK Friendship Year," according to the Foreign Ministry in Beijing.

And this article from 6 years ago shows how North Korea might likely wage war, and it's pretty nasty:

Do you think he can do it?

Oh absolutely. Kim is the rocket man! Or Little Rocket Man as Trump called him.
Yes, realistically if N Korea ever goes to war, it can do some serious damage.
And due to America's decline due to her declaring her sin like Sodom, I have no doubt he could get at least one nuke through, no matter how much US tries to intercept.

I believe it's very possible when America gets nuked it won't be from Russia or China, at least at first: it will be N Korea or Iran.

They actually sell T shirts of this? LoL!^_^

Hmmm, which country is sinless? You are correct about the nuke thing East and West hemispheres.

He has a growing capability, he has a loose alliance with Russia and China. But he and his predecessors also have a reputation for spewing a lot of hot air. If I were China or Russia right now I would be worried about this loose cannon starting extra conflicts right now.

While North Korea's land, air, space, and nuclear forces might be a joke,

NK's cyberwarfare and espionage capability are actually incredibly good. They're edging close to being the best in the world and it would be a fatal mistake to underestimate them in these theaters of warfare.

What makes them more dangerous is they may be willing to offer their services for food, money, or technology exchange. Think of the enemies of Israel in the Middle East.

And since USA is supporting Israel, even USA could also get attacked. Internet and power black outs, sabotage of key facilities, etc. A coordinated attack might prove catastrophic, total collapse of order.

Worse case is having NK nukes in the black market. Having them in the picture could really turn things upside down for the Western forces in the Middle East conflict and could potentially align Russia, Iran, China and NK in the latest conflict.

This is a big one especially if they go to Iran and others in the Middle East. Muslim extremists won't think twice about using one.

It's worrisome because Iran have partnered with North Korean in the past for acquiring ballistic missiles from North Korea.

What more worrying now is that NK now has hypersonic missile capability. When put on top of their existing ballistic missile systems, it gets long range, with more than enough range to hit Israel even if launched from Iran.

If the hypersonic section can also maneuver, then it can also possibly evade Israel's Iron Dome shield. Ofc, it can be armed with either nuke or conventional warhead but even without an explosive warhead, the hypersonic speed gives it tremendous amount of kinetic energy to cause similar damage as conventional explosive weapons.

Lasers could possibly defend against hypersonic weapons. The only problem is that hypersonic projectiles also tend to be capable of withstanding extreme heat (necessary for hypersonic speeds) which can make lasers ineffective against them.

Yet, it would be hard to attack North Korea directly should they prove to get involved as they now possess nuclear deterrence they might use against USA and any allies.

Kim, Respected Daughter & Sister would most likely be deep in a bunker, and no doubt may use chemical weapons even on their own territory if things began looking grim for them, especially if any forces were to invade after a bombing campaign.
