Volunteering in Uganda
Uganda, known as the Pearl of Africa because of its beautiful landscape, rivers, lakes,mountains and friendly people,is one of the continents most beautiful and inspirational countries and Cyorf Foundation ministry is lucky enough to be based in Jinja, a town that sits on the edge of The Mighty White Nile.
CYORF is a pro-life ministry with a mission to empower and/or building the capacity of orphaned children, widows and other community structures, to enable them be self reliant to intervene and respond to their needs (physical, spiritual, educational and emotional) individually, in their families and in the communities they live in.
We are very happy that you are interested in volunteering with us.We feel honored to have you come and volunteer with us.
We will host you in our local homes and church. We need missionaries who can teach us skills or help setup self-sustaining projects and as well as medical missionaries. Schoolteachers are also needed for the orphanages and schools we support.
Mission Application
This is a volunteer position in faith and trust. The biggest qualifier is your heart. God will use anyone with an open heart. There are no theological or seminary requirements.
You will be expected to perform reliably, conduct yourself in a Christian manner, to be sensitive to cultural differences (easy), to love the people, and to be committed (to the mission trip).
