I was just curious to what military training manuals you have considered to be the most useful or practical. Was looking for opinions from those who served and not civilians.
I'd say the first aid manuals are of particular interest. They will focus on things like stopping the bleeding and clearing the air way and of course, you always treat for shock. I thought some of the leadership manuals were of interest but I'd stay away from IED explosives, all you have to know about them is to stay away from them, in a civilian context just pick up a phone. If you can lay your hands on one sometimes they publish things of the Korean War for instance. I had always been interested in what the Army and the Guards did there and found out at the Chosen Reservoir the 38th MSB was the first to reach the 1st Marine Division.
