Luke 23:
After the resurrection, they worked with Jews and Gentiles in Jerusalem against the nascent church. Acts 4:
Barnes explained:12 The same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
They were enemies before due to their different political agendas. However, they both agreed that Jesus should not be executed. Based on this common point against the Sanhedrin, they were on friendly terms. What had been the cause of their quarrel is unknown. It is commonly supposed that it was Pilate's slaying the Galileans in Jerusalem, as related in Luke 13:1-2. The occasion of their reconciliation seems to have been the civility and respect which Pilate showed to Herod in this case.
After the resurrection, they worked with Jews and Gentiles in Jerusalem against the nascent church. Acts 4:
The friendship between Pilate and Herod was based on political convenience.27 Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
