A few years ago a greek television station interviewed a number of phanariotoi greeks. They definately spoke in a slight dialect not exactly how you would hear it spoken in Greece. It wasnt an accent but it sounded like it would have been from a different era.

I had to look that up. You know Google gives exactly one hit? Lol I'm not positive I understand fully what you mean, but that's interesting. :)

Last week someone pulled me aside in Church (they were asking me to consider trying out for the choir) and asked me to pronounce one word. They said I was correct, and it was the only one Father mispronounces. But it's something the choir sings often enough - I guess I've taken my cue from them.

Slowly! I do wonder how many years it will be before I can understand Scripture in Greek, or if I'll ever be able to. But I can understand many common words. It helps.

Anastasia....(and all others interesting on hellenic lan-gauge)

My advise is to remember to enter on etymology area over hellenic lan-gauge.
....not only learn them for reading the scriptures.

HELL-EN-IC LAN-GAUGE
is the biggest 'game' on our history.
So big that is hidden behind the control of the planet.

Generally look closer on etymology of all words (of all langauges)
I just helped you with the "HELL-EN-IC LAN-GAUGE" item.
