Just think how much moola we can SAVE by having just one Family “serving” as the Ruling Family (but totally not a King), and eliminate that pesky need for ordinary people to “be involved” in politics and just let “their betters” decide what’s best?

What a glorious Utopia that’ll be!

If you look at the heads of state Trump has praised; Putin, Kim. Orban, Erdogan, etc. you see they are all authoritarians who have sought to destroy democracy. He envies nations where elections don't matter.

And this fits nicely with the republican party. They will never again get a majority of votes until they change their ways. In the past, parties like that died out or changed their ways. Republicans are seeking a third path, where the consent of the governed is no longer necessary.
