Physical Description:
Ht: 5'11", Wt: 159, Age: 26, Hair: Blonde, Eyes: Chocolate Brown, Skin: Fair

Glory is a voluptuous yet athletic woman with lean muscle under her feminine curves, highlighted by her impossibly long legs. Hers is a physique that is a natural result of having worked hard on the Arrow much of the day for most of her life. Her thick blonde hair falls almost to her hips, but she often wears it in a braid or an updo when on duty. Few have ever seen it down as Glory rarely lets herself relax completely. Her smile is bright and wide when she is enjoying herself, whether it is in executing a new maneuver or laughing with her comrades. Glory's brown eyes can smolder in anger upon seeing injustice, but are sparkling in merriment, or mischief, most of the time.

Glory usually wears bright, comfortable clothing which offers her freedom of movement as well as the ability to express herself. Blousy, flowing shirts under doublets and jerkins of silk or brocade, all in bright colors to compliment her loose fitting trousers make her appear to be a flamboyantly dressed swashbuckler of old Earth. In fact, she does favor a rapier, worn at her hip and a dagger in her boot as well as the shuriken pistol whose home is the small of her back.

Personality: Chaotic Neutral/Good
Glory is honest and forthright, if a bit eager to prove herself the best navigator and tracker in the sector. She is most proud, and rightly so, of her accomplishments in navigating and tracking. From the time she was a child she has wholeheartedly thrown herself into navigation, studying star charts even as she was falling asleep at night. She had a projector next to her bed which would light up her ceiling at night, in a sense, giving Glory her own personal observatory. She is well-educated, but that education is naturally focused heavily on ship related subject matter. Aside from her unusual navigation and tracking sense, Glory has her father's uncommon common sense.

Glory has a complex personality in that she is usually easy going, but anything to do with the Arrow will bring about the most serious side of her nature. She is extremely protective of her vessel and its crew, her command crew being as close to family as she has since the death of her father. Glory's mother died before she was even born, she was a preemie, having to be delivered by Cesarean section to save her life. Indulged by her father, Ryan St. Claire, Glory was the jewel of his eye and the pride of his heart as she grew aboard the ship, learning everything about it as she did. With her mother's beauty and charm, her father's captaincy skills and vessel as well as her own natural talents, the woman is rather formidable.

Abilities
Glory has all the abilities a ship dwelling space farer of her age and superb level of fitness and level of training is expected to have. She is an exceptionally skilled fighter who prefers to use sword and dagger when she can't fire her shuriken pistol. Like most other rogue traders, she can strike a hard bargain and is a canny deal maker. It is her navigation and tracking prowess which is most impressive, however, and these were cultivated from her youth.

Still, she seems to have an almost instinctual ability in this area which is sometimes unnerving to observers. Glory uses it to good advantage in striking while the iron is hot the moment word of a profitable venture reaches her ears, it also comes in handy to get out of tough scrapes. One of her favorite adages is, "Run away and live to run another day!" Far from being a coward, however, Glory simply understands the economic value of keeping her ship in one piece and keeping it in HER possession. Something she loves to do is illustrated in her tweaking of that adage, "Run the blockade and live to play another day!"

Background

As has been mentioned, Glory had to be taken from her mother's womb to save her life. Ryan St. Claire, her father, knew he would have sunk to depths of depression so strong as to end his life had it not been for the need to care for his little girl. And care for her he did. Ryan was an indulgent father, but Glory was not spoiled. She was made to work hard in her lessons and on the ship. Ryan wanted his heir to be worthy of the Warrant of Trade which would pass to Glory along with the Arrow of Artemis and her crew. From even before she could understand the responsibility which would be placed on her, Glory took it seriously. Glory learned every rivet in every bulkhead of the Arrow, every knock, ping and hum of her engines and every nuance of her trim. She learned about all the families on her ship and their needs, she learned to meet those needs and provide well for her people for they relied upon her and she on them. They aren't only her crew, they are her family, the only family she has.

Family:
Father - Captain Ryan St. Claire (deceased)
Mother - Alanah St. Claire (deceased)

Arrow of Artemis

A former prize of the Imperial Navy, this destroyer has attained a sleekness and style unheard of in the royal ranks. As a rogue trading vessel, it was rechristened and refitted to become the model of a ship of trade. For those who value speed and stealth over boss and brawn anyway. She is just over one kilometer from stem to stern and .25 kilometer abeam. Yes, sleek and speedy, graceful and grand in flight is she, and Glory knows how to get everything out of her when necessary. She knows how hard she can push the engines and how much stress the superstructure can handle. The Arrow delivers, almost out of love for the woman who has inherited her and has taken such good care of her these last nine years. While the Arrow doesn't have a lot in the way of armament, she can black a bigger ship's eye then be on the run and get away in a blink, which is Glory's strategy when she must fight. Otherwise, as has been previously indicated, the Arrow will use speed to escape or stealth to hide, making like a hole in space. In doing so, Glory St. Claire will make her mark in the known galaxies.

Picture this all blue with gold trim and a gigantic gold figurehead of the goddess of the hunt, Artemis, firing her bow. The arm and the arrow hold fixed laser cannons.

Crew:

Voidmaster:
Gridley Markham, a giant of a man in stature and in character. Standing at 6'8" and 354 pounds of solid muscle, the gray haired former Imperial Guardsman is still stout for his 106 years. The increased lifespan of the Imperium and certain longevity enhancing drugs have served him well. Gridley went into the guard as a lad and served his sixty with distinction, having trained and led more troops than even he can remember. He ended up on the Arrow under circumstances he holds confidential to this day and quickly became one of Ryan's most trusted crew, becoming first officer after just over two years aboard the vessel. Gridley refused to remain in that post for Glory, however, as he believed he would not be able to protect her well enough in that role. He did take charge of the weapons and armor for the ship, however, and became her personal protector in an official capacity. More than Glory's ordinance master, more than her bodyguard, he is her most trusted counselor and her closest confidante, he is her adopted uncle though he is more like a second father.
