I'd argue that the Beast and the false prophet are countries, not people. I know I have swayed on this belief in the past, but it makes the most sense. The beasts of Daniel refer to kingdoms, why not the beasts of Revelation?
If you can prove to me that the Beast and false prophet are humans, we have a valid belief.
Actually the term beast in the book of Revelation refers to both a Empire and a man who rules that empire..
Well said about the book of Daniel:: The Kingdoms given in the Book of Daniel describe empires.. And also note that in those descriptions the horns on the beasts are kingdoms that rule those Empires. Greece is depicted as a a one horned Goat .. The greek empire was created and controlled by the greek people.. But the other beast depicted in the prophecy was a two horned Ram which was the empire of Media Persia and the two controlling nations where the Meds and the Persians.. Of course the beast depicted in the book of Revelation has 10 horns which means initlally it will be an empire controlled by 10 nations .. This same beast is depicted in the Book of Daniel and the book of Daniel reveals that when the anti-christ comes He will take direct control over 3 of those nations..
(Daniel 7:23-27) "Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. {24} And the
ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. {25} And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. {26} But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. {27} And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him."
But the beast is also a man..
(Revelation 13:18) "Here is wisdom.
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
I really cannot see how you can see the false prophet as a country?
(Revelation 16:13) "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and
out of the mouth of the false prophet."
Do nations get possessed by unclean spirits? I know spirits can possess individual people.. Do you really think the false prophet is a nation?
