Natanz is also being hit, along with early warning radar stations in Syria and a building in Baghdad where IRGC brass were meeting with Iraqi Islamic Resistance leaders. I'm following osintdefender on twitter he's usually pretty solid with this stuff.
Since none of this took place, I hope you will no longer use osintdefender as a source for news. This Twitter account has been shown in the past to push Russian propaganda and misinformation.

@sentdefender, has been identified by a research company as belonging to a member of the U.S. military from Georgia who has amplified Russian propaganda. As previously reported, both have spread false information, including reporting a nonexistent explosion near the White House that sent stock prices down.

(The @sentdefender account’s display name is OSINTdefender)

A European research company called Molfar, meanwhile, dug into @sentdefender and found that the account had previously used the name Simon Anderson, who gave his location as Georgia.

In a published report, Molfar said the email associated with OSINTdefender on Block’s Cash App combines Anderson’s first name with his mother’s.

A lot of what @sentdefender has published has come from Russian Telegram channels, Molfar found, such as a video of supposed Ukrainian troops who surrendered to Russia. Another post with of what he described as a failed Ukrainian offensive used footage from WarGonzo, a pro-war Russian blogger.

I don't have any more information than anybody else - just the same limited news that's available to everybody else.

But I get the impression that if it was an attack it was a muted response, in line with Iran's recent attack which didn't seem to target "strategic assets" in Israel.

Iran has been a busy beaver:

"Iran is able to produce more weapon-grade uranium (WGU) and at a faster rate since the IAEA’s last report in November 2023 due to increased stocks of enriched uranium and increased uranium enrichment capacity."

"Iran’s stocks of enriched uranium and its centrifuge capacity combined are sufficient to make enough WGU, taken as 25 kilograms (kg) of WGU, for seven nuclear weapons in one month, nine in two months, eleven in three months, 12-13 in four months, and 13 in five months."

Analysis of IAEA Iran Verification and Monitoring Report — February 2024 | Institute for Science and International Security

Iran will just target the West. Allah told Muslims that they will take Rome. Muslims talk about this today.

The West was Christian but is now no longer Christian. However, I think Muslims think of the West as primarily Christian lands.
The only hard hard is getting the fuel.

You didn't say about importance of christian lives.

According to ChatGPT: Iran's uranium resources primarily come from its domestic mines. The country has several uranium mines, including the Saghand, Gchine, and Bandar Abbas mines. These mines provide Iran with the raw material needed for its uranium enrichment activities. Additionally, Iran has explored various avenues for obtaining uranium, including partnerships with other countries for mining and trade agreements.

The West stands in the way of the Axis of Evil (Russia, China, Iran, NK.) That is the importance of Christian lives. We stand in their way.

No extensive damage seen at Isfahan air base in satellite images

There does not appear to be any extensive damage at an air base purportedly targeted by an Israeli military strike, according to exclusive satellite images obtained by CNN from Umbra Space.

The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite images were taken around 10:18 a.m. local time.

There does not appear to be any large craters in the ground and there are no apparent destroyed buildings. Additional visual satellite imagery will be needed to check for burn scars – which cannot be seen by SAR images -- around the complex.

So Iran denies anything happened and you take their word for it?

CNN Reuters, BBC, AP, ABC (which is specifying Natanz as a target) now reporting Israel attacked Iran, Iran says nothing happened.. and you go with... Iran's take?

Israeli missiles targeted Syria air defense positions, Syrian state media says

That's about the attack on Syrian air defense radar stations last night, the attack on Iran itself being much easier to find, it was limited in scope and while it involved places in cities where nuclear sites are at it didn't seem to target the nuclear sites themselves. Fars news agency suggested they may have been targeting air defense radar.

The Baghdad piece seems to be more that a missile was intercepted and debris fell near Baghdad, was what I got from AP, so that part does seem to have been exaggerated, in a flurry of getting information from a bunch of foreign language telegrams etc (that is why it's "Open Source")

odd that you think he's got a pro-russian bias as most of the posts are pro-ukrainian, and he'll use Russian telegram to verify things like attacks within Russia or Crimea

So Iran denies anything happened and you take their word for it?
Iran didn't say nothing happened, they said there was an attack by infiltrators.

CNN Reuters, BBC, AP, ABC (which is specifying Natanz as a target) now reporting Israel attacked Iran, Iran says nothing happened.. and you go with... Iran's take?
Natanz wasn't targeted. The only target was an empty airbase in Isfahan, which is 60 miles south of Natanz. I'm not going by Iran's take; according to CNN, satellite images taken of the airbase this morning show no significant damage; a senior EU official said it was a very limited attack with no human consequences or huge damage, and the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that there is no damage to Iran’s nuclear sites. As for the attack in Syria, that's a regular occurrence and probably isn't related to the attack on Iran.

So to review what osintdefender was reporting according to your post: "Natanz is also being hit, along with early warning radar stations in Syria and a building in Baghdad where IRGC brass were meeting with Iraqi Islamic Resistance leaders."

Natanz was not being hit, early warning stations in syria werent being hit (Only one, and it may not have been related to the attack on Iran) and a building in Iraq where IRGC brass were meeting with Iraqi Islamic Resistance leaders wasn't hit.

The conclusion based on this; osintdefender was spreading fake news.

odd that you think he's got a pro-russian bias as most of the posts are pro-ukrainian, and he'll use Russian telegram to verify things like attacks within Russia or Crimea
The article I linked to and Molfar provided plenty of evidence that osintdefender shares Russian propaganda.

OSINTdefender is a user of the social network X, which was previously known as Twitter. His posts often contain pro-Russian propaganda or blatant lies. Some of his publications have been a concern for many readers. For example, the story about Ukrainians being accused of a war crime for throwing a grenade at Russians or his praise of Russia's power and its geopolitical influence...

The West was Christian. It got wealthy. Now it is no longer Christian. It stands in the way of other countries. Those other countries (Russia, China, Iran and NK) are plotting revenge. At some point the West will pay. Christians in the West too.

Does that sound like Christians are special?

Eventually, Iran will take part in the revenge against the West. We can see part of that revenge now through Iranian meddling with Israel.

Iran has its own Islamic agenda that is independent of the West. I'm pretty sure that this is incomprehensible to atheists.

this was the source on the Natanz bit
Israel-Gaza live updates: Israelis fired 3 missiles in limited strike

Israelis fired 3 missiles in limited strike

Three missiles were fired from Israeli fighter aircraft outside of Iran in Friday morning’s very limited strike, according to a senior U.S. official.

The Israelis were targeting an air defense radar site near Isfahan that’s part of the protection of the Natanz nuclear facility, the official said. The first assessment is that the strike took out the site, but assessment hasn’t been completed, the official said.

so the Isfahan location was part of air defense for Natanz is where that angle is coming from

as to the pro Russian thing, he sometimes cites Russian telegram and Russian bloggers (who are Russian propaganda) as a means of confirming Ukrainian claims that they hit Crimea or inside Russia or took out a valuable Russian asset.
That's not him praising Russia when he uses a post made by a Russian blogger "Fighterbomber" from telegram to confirm that Ukraine took out an A-50 AWACS.
Like AFU will claim 'we shot down an A-50"
Osint will see a post by Fighterbomber swearing and complaining about an A-50 being shot down.. and conclude.. Ukraine shot down an A-50.

That's not pushing misinfo or Russian propaganda
That's using Russian sources to confirm a claim to support the Ukrainian narrative.
Often times those same Russian sources (including the TASS, the Russian state media agency) will claim they shot down their own air asset and Osint will take the Ukrainian claim over the Russian claim and say Ukraine shot it down. He's using the Russian source to verify that Russia lost the claimed asset, but won't go with the Russian Narrative of WHY they lost that asset (which a lot of times they'll blame an explosion on a soldier smoking near ammo or fuel on a base rather than credit the AFU as hitting it, it's become somewhat of a meme)

Both sides use propaganda, and yes there will be bias in interpreting it.
if you have 1 source from one combatant side in a war saying "we hit this base with a storm shadow and killed 300 Russians!" and then Russia saying "we had an explosion at the base, but it was not enemy fire, it was just one of our lads smoking near a fuel tanker, only 1 casualty"
You have to decide which report is lying and which one is truthful or.. decide both are putting a spin on it and try to decide which side is putting more of a spin on it, and usually in an example like I posted, osint will say something along the lines of Ukraine hit this base with a storm shadow, casualties unknown.
Not going with Ukraine's exaggerated claim of mass casualties, but also definitely not believing Russia's claim that the explosion was some smoking accident with no casualties.
He has almost always taken the Ukrainian narrative but not gone with Ukraine's exaggerated numbers.

Since air defense systems can be located dozens of miles from the sites they protect, that would make sense. It appears they were spared since sattelite images are showing no damage to any structures in or around the Isfahan airbase.

Basically when you're getting information as it's currently happening there can be confusion, lack of verification, and exaggerations. It's not quite the same as intentionally spreading misinfo.

When this thread was started, there was limited information, a lot of confusion, and no mainstream news even had it on their radar until this morning. Israel still hasn't acknowledged any attack Iran denies anything beyond a few "quadcopters" that they're on the fence of even crediting Israel of sending, and only US officials are confirming an attack actually happened but was limited in scope.

It seems that at least one expert thought the same thing.

One expert told the BBC that the selection of Isfahan, Iran’s second city, as a potential target was “very significant” as it is the site of a controversial refining facility suspected of producing nuclear-weapons-grade uranium.

It’s also one of Iran’s best-defended sites.

Speaking to broadcaster, Hamish De Bretton Gordon, a former commander of UK and Nato nuclear forces, said: “[The reported attack] was fairly near to where we believe Iran is building nuclear weapons, so I expect it was a nod to them.”
