such a good chapter today...then again I say that every time...
proverbs to ponder...
there have been lots of storms! Peace Lord from the storms...
I sooooooo love this verse.
Precious.
it is wonderful! Quietbloke has a new thread on the Kingfisher and fishing for souls...
Proverbs 11:
This is precious. Especially about the winning of souls.
What could be more precious than THAT???!!!
it surely must bless and delight God's heart.
THIS prayer, tyo be a winner of souls, to glorify God, will SURELY Bless AND answer, in remarkable ways.
It's also reeeeeally deeeep: the "fruit" of the righteous is a "tree of life".....hmmmmm, that's an entire study in itself.
Sounds like it's time to "dig for treasure" again.
Proverbs 11:
This is ALWAYS a WISE thing.
Amen.
yes, I feel that the message is to listen to advisers, or counsellors, sound advice!
And...he who refreshes others....I like it...
Proverbs 11:
Refreshing others.
The many times that i have "refreshed" others (and i'm referring to brothers and sisters in Christ) hasn't always reciprocated in "refreshment" to my very soul when i was parched, or weary, but instead has been likened to a kick in the teeth, at those very times, from the most unlikely of sources. It is at those times that God is teaching me to do just as Jesus instructed His disciples to do, and that is, to "kick the dust off".
For anyone that does as this verse below says (returning evil for good), one must kick the dust off, and move on:
"Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house." ~Proverbs 17:13
"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." ~Matthew 10:14
In the meantime, one moves on, to "refresh" others, who are willing to be "refreshed", as i am myself, soooo in need of. We need each other, to lift each other up, encourage each other, be the lifters of each others head, and to pray for one another.
Not to "harbor" jealousy, or treachery or dishonesty or deceit in our hearts that surfaces eventually in various ways.
Let us continue "refreshing" each other with authentic and genuine hearts, for to do so, is many times, like giving a glass of water to someone in a parched and arid desert, amen?
"Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." ~Matthew 25:37-40
