Experience is not easy to articulate in a concrete and communicable way. It can only be done in a fixed mode of symbolic discourse. For me that is within the patterns of scripture. From scripture comes a form of knowing that is tangible. Scripture layers from letter, to the morality contained within the letter, then opens up to the spiritual meaning within the same writing.

Ie: the body of the bible is the writings, while the soul is the morality contained there for all to see and from that view is seen the fulfillment in the spiritual.

That which is known at a glance in the perception of God’s love kindles a response to His love, that suggests yielding to His desire but results in the realization of His transcendental unknowability. So it goes in every yield to His love that brings more light and so goes with every encounter with Him. Therein is obedience learned also from a true sphere of love.

The bible uses human language to describe God, that we are somehow to articulate within ourselves. For instance we see the Logos using the letter of the biblical text to convey the inner message of his saving action. The believer then moves with the text, thru the senses, to experience the fruit contained in them in the soul’s progression with God. Contact with God, by definition, is achieved in and thru the bible. As our outer nature wastes away our inner nature is renewed day by day, and so understanding can only follow where experience leads.

Peace

Galatians 5:16-17
Be constantly conducting yourself within the sphere of the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the cravings of the flesh. For the flesh has constantly a strong desire to suppress the Spirit, and the Spirit has constantly a strong desire to suppress the flesh, and these are entrenched in a permanent attitude of opposition one to to the other, so that ye may not do the things that ye would desire to do.

Determining thought, words and deed in an attitude of entire dependance on the leading of the Holy Spirit’s empowering energy is conducting oneself according to the Word of God, sharper than a two-edged sword, dividing soul from spirit.

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations and every false thing that exalts against the knowledge of God, and capturing every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Therein is the promise that if we do so we won’t fulfill the lustfull desires of the flesh that set up cravings contrary to the spiritual craving to be in close fellowship with our Lord Jesus. Determining conduct by the leading of the Spirit, and in yielding to that light on our path, rather than to the opposing darkness that so many love, then we receive the divine energy to carry it out. Absolutely not will the flesh then have it’s way.

So the battle entrenched between flesh and spirit continues. The Holy Spirit has divine provision for victory over sin “so that ye may not do the things that your flesh desires you to do”

Coming in represents a harvest of the increase, a return of the investment, something brought into the storehouse or an entrance there into. An entrance into a covenant between the essence of God and that of nature.

Going out and coming in includes all undertakings and includes all growth that comes forth. To not be in that covenant one must choose as Cain did, who went out from His Presence, and became a revolving door for sin because he choose not to tame the roaring lion within and allowed sin to conquer him.

Better to be a pillar that is unmovable Revelation 3:12 as the first church’s ideology based itself on. 1 Timothy 3:15

One is like the raven that finds only dead carcass to alight on. The other a dove that brings forth life to those who send fit forth. Noah, shut in to God as Joshua was to the meeting tent and being of those who serve at the arc where His vow remains, needs only the word from the Lord to acknowledge that which is faithful and knows the sound well done. No less that known to them as depart from me for that of nature which must stand behind when He arrives with a message from the Father, from where glory comes, by proceeding from the source.

Come forth Lazarus. Come forth vegetation from the earth for our edification. Create in us a clean heart. May what goes in and what comes out be pleasing to your sight.

Stephen's Address to the Sanhedrin
39 our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.
…50Has not My hand made all these things?’ 51You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did. 52Which of the prophets did your fathers fail to persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One. And now you are His betrayers and murderers

STRONGS NT 564: περίτμητος, uncircumcised
ἀπερίτμητος, ἀπεριτμητον (περιτέμνω), uncircumcised; metaphorically, ἀπερίτμητοι τῇ καρδία (Jeremiah 9:26; Ezekiel 44:7) καί τοῖς ὠσί (Jeremiah 6:10) whose heart and ears are covered, i. e. whose soul and senses are closed to divine admonitions, obdurate, Acts 7:51. (Often in the Sept. for עָרֵל; 1 Macc. 1:48 1 Macc. 2:46; (Philo de migr. Abr. § 39); Plutarch, am. prol. 3.)

To really make the point of the above post on circumcised heart we could jump to Hebrews 9
(Exodus 40:1–33; Hebrews 9:1–10)

But so as to include the testimony of Stephen
The Tabernacle of the Testimony
44Our fathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the wilderness. It was constructed exactly as God had directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen. 45And our fathers who received it brought it in with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations God drove out before them. It remained until the time of David, 46who found favor in the sight of God and asked to provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.o 47But it was Solomon who built the house for Him.
48However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:
49‘Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or where will My place of repose be? 50Has not My hand made all these things?’51You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did. 52Which of the prophets did your fathers fail to persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One. And now you are His betrayers and murderers— 53you who received the law ordained by angels, yet have not kept it.

And reflecting on the differences of the earthly and Heavenly sanctuary

Hebrews 9:1-10
Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tent was constructed, the first one, in which were the lampstand, the table, and the bread of the Presence; this is called the Holy Place. 3 Behind the second curtain was a tent[ called the Holy of Holies. 4 In it stood the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which there were a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat.[d] Of these things we cannot speak now in detail.
6 Such preparations having been made, the priests go continually into the first tent[e] to carry out their ritual duties; 7 but only the high priest goes into the second, and he but once a year, and not without taking the blood that he offers for himself and for the sins committed unintentionally by the people.
8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the sanctuary has not yet been disclosed as long as the first tent[f] is still standing. 9 This is a symbol[g] of the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, 10 but deal only with food and drink and various baptisms, regulations for the body imposed until the time comes to set things right.

Note that the high priests commission is an offering for sins committed unintentionally. The first tent still standing is that which cannot perfect the conscience, simply because it is not blood covered.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to worship the living God!

The governor placed upon the conscience has not come to a time capable of setting it right.

Psalms 96:7-9
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory of His name;
Bring an offering and come into His courts.
Worship the LORD in holy attire;
Tremble before Him, all the earth.

Acts of the Apostles 7:55-56
But filled with the Holy Spirit, he gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Colossians 1:16-17
for in Him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Everything about us exists because of Christ, making Him the appropriate goal in everything. What we do is affected and enacted by us according to what we believe about Jesus. We follow or don’t because of the worth that we have placed on Him. That worth can only be calculated in accordance to the fact that … all has been created through Him and for Him…. that is the all in all …. with those asked by Him to share.

John 5:18
This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

1 Corinthians 5:21
God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

Those who love Him are willing to accept the change He brings. Those who love Him not are outraged that anything be required of them whatsoever.

Acts of the Apostles 7:53
You are the ones that received the law as ordained by angels, and yet you have not kept it.

1 Peter 2:4-5
Come to Him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Have you figured it out yet? The strong meat of the word of God is direct revelation from Him, via His Son. The milk of the word was from the covenant given by angels.

Acts 7:53
you who received the law as ordained by angels, and yet did not keep it.”

Galatians 3:19
Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made.

Acts 7:38
This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai, and who was with our fathers; and he received living oracles to pass on to you.

Hebrews 2:2
For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty …
That is the point that everyone needs to be silent in the stillness of knowing God.

Hebrews 5:12
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Hebrews 12:25
See that ye refuse not him that speaks. For if those did not escape who had refused him who uttered the oracles on earth, much more we who turn away from him who does so from heaven:

1 Peter 4:11
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
