I believe that Jesus is God. But many people who claim to be Christians do not believe Jesus is God. Do you believe that anyone can be a true believer if he does not believe that Jesus is God? Is it enough to believe that there was a perfect sacrifice through Jesus death, without the perfect sacrifice actually being God in flesh-form?

Well, put it this way:

We only have one Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. If Jesus is not God, then we have a Lord and Master other than God - and God only wants God to be on the throne of our hearts, but in the same way we are asked to make Jesus Lord of our lives, and in God's classic way of detailing things, he is in a sense saying that Jesus is God by default of this request. To believe Jesus is not God is to deny your own belief that Jesus was who he said he was. Jesus can not be the atoning sacrifice for your sins and the whole worlds if he was not something greater than just a man, for then any man could have done what Jesus did.

So is somebody saved if they don't believe Jesus is God? If they don't believe that, then they have not made Jesus the Lord of their lives, or God the Lord of their lives. You can not serve two masters, but you can serve the same master.

umm...what he said ;) but one thing Ryan. You can but it means skewing what the bible says. You have to come up with new meanings for what God is because Jesus said he was God in actions and in words. its the Action things you have to explain away more so such as him accepting worship, forgiving sins, and saying everything God has is his also. This leads to a path of basic gnostic thought with Jesus being a "lessor" god and then you have to ask is the HS god or a lessor god and this leads to even more false teaching. The book of Col is a good response to this. You cannot be saved unless you believe Christ is diety because 1 the HS won't tell you that (revelation) 2 the bible says otherwise and(scripture) 3 it denies what the early church said about christ also (arch and historical evidence).
